Do they do silent rejections? Does anyone know if they are done handing out secondaries? 🙁

Last year they did not send out decisions until Oct. 22 for the people that interviewed early...do we know for sure it will be the 15th?

Right now, there's one date in December and one in January, according to the portal. However, since it's easy to switch your date via the portal, earlier ones could pop up if people decide to swap.

I didn't get an email from him either and I interviewed earlier as well...

I called the AdCom last week and they said we should get an email on the 15th telling us if we are accepted,waitlisted, rejected or no decision yet. He didn't mention anything about the 13th....

Got the email for 10/30, as well. The wait applies to everyone in the first few groups of interviewees (so there will be a huge batch of decisions coming in). It's gonna be a long two weeks.

Well, they do re-review so you never know. Don't expect a miracle or something, but don't give up (until December) either. This process can be pretty nonsensical and unpredictable at times.

Two more weeks of nail-biting...this is as anxiety-inducing as waiting for your MCAT score. I guess this means there were a lot of great interviewees? I remember thinking that everyone in my interview group seemed really smart and well-spoken, so I imagine they're having a tough time deciding since there are so many strong applicants this cycle. Regardless, good luck to everyone and hang in there! And if you do get rejected on the 30th, you'll have an excuse to binge eat all the Halloween candy you were saving for trick-or-treaters 😛

At interview day, they said not to update until close to the end of the cycle (late April?). As for pre-II, not sure. Unless it's really big I would be hesitant.

That's normal. They will let you know when you can choose your date. FYI, you will have a limited selection from the provided list.

Did your initial II email say: "Please visit our status check page https://meded.ucsd.edu/asa/admissions/applicants_no_sso/statusLogin.cfm and click on the “MMI Schedule” button to either sign up for or change your MMI date. You can change your interview date as often as you like, but we ask that you not make any changes within 2 weeks of the date you have selected."

This gives me the impression that there should be a link immediately as opposed to a second email, but I guess not?

It did, but I couldn't choose my schedule until UCSD sent me an email saying that I could.

Just to let everyone know, 1/15 and 1/22 were the only dates available (of course people can drop and change the date instantly on the status page, so that can change). 1/15 has 2 slots left, 1/22 has about 30 left at the time of this post.

According to the list that the admissions office gave us, I believe the last date is in mid February.

Not to doubt you (As info directly from the admissions office is more reliable than a website), but according to this http://meded.ucsd.edu/index.cfm/asa/admissions/application_process/ they normally run through the end of March. Perhaps they've shortened their cycle this year?
