Maybe we'll get some movement next week? Has anyone called to ask if they accept LOIs or if they expect waitlist movement this year?

I called and was told not to send anything! They don't want letters, updates, or anything. Of course I'm over analyzing that, and am wondering if other people will send them anyway, making me look like a slacker. Or on the other hand, sending a letter might piss them off and hurt my chances. Gahhhh!!

Hi all, first time poster here. I interviewed here in December and was placed on the waitlist in April. I have it on good authority that the waitlist will not be used this year. It was not used last year either. I am not posting to cause controversy, but only to inform people not to get their hopes up and to have a plan. It is not impossible for them to go to the waitlist but from what I have heard it's not likely.

Does anyone know what happens if they over-accept and still have people on the "accept" list but not enough seats? From what I have learned, I get the impression that it might happen this year. I am unsure of how that process works of accepts v. seats.

Hello all. I'm on the waitlist, but my friend who got accepted received an email stating that they have too many students and are offering deferred acceptance to anyone who wants it. I'm almost certain that they will not be using the waitlist this year. Just wanted to pass along this info. Best of luck to all of you in wherever you end up, or in your reapplication process.

You mean if anyone was put on the waitlist and then later accepted? If thats what you mean, then i don't think anyone was taken off the waitlist. I know I wasn't. Were you also placed on the waitlist? Where did you end up going?

No I'm applying now and interviewed already and got the email that says they will continue to look at my app but I'm not in yet. That's what I mean. Like could I possibly get accepted in February or something?

Yes I got like 8 of those emails the year I applied and was accepted in April. I think they've changed their application process a little bit since then, but the "You weren't accepted this time around, but we are still considering you." email is legit and you're still in the running.
