I'm just glad Pitt tells us earlier than most, so I can either start planning or check it off the ever-shrinking list of possibilities. All this waiting has made me realize I'd prefer to establish my fate sooner rather than hold out for a "better" school. Not sure if that's the impulse of impatience, or if I'll act on it, but it's an interesting observation. I guess I'm saying "I'm over it (the application process)".

Trying to hang in there. I just submitted a paper, so I am wondering how much I will be able to put into a new project with medical school starting in the near future (hopefully). I am also for establishing my fate sooner rather than later. I guess I will know in two weeks...
 
Any ideas on what would get us flat out rejected post interview?

Checked my portal Friday and it said "Application is under review."

Now it says that plus" Please allow 8 weeks from interview date to receive final decision."
 
Watch them be like "Oh, sorry we need to push the decision date forward a week cause we're not ready yet." I think I'd scream.
 
Checked the 2014-2015 thread and it looks like decisions were released a day early last year (01/29 instead of 01/30). On 01/29 close to noon someone posted a link to "One Day More" from Les Mis (was planning to do the same this year, dang it), then posts from 2:27pm onwards were from people who checked their portals and saw their decisions.

Here's to discretely checking my portal whilst on another interview... Oh Pittsburgh, always keeping us on our toes.

really hoping the decision release timeline goes the same way this year...one day out and my patience is gooooone.
 
Definitely 1/29 - I remember Ms. Bonetti saying they want to release decisions 1/30 (it also says this on the MSAR) but that's a Saturday so they're releasing decisions on Friday.

I also have this. Just curious, is there anyone who doesn't have this on the portal?

I saw that too!
 
When I click admission data forms it says "this page is only available to admitted applicants"

Oh wow could not feel more anxious. This doesn't sound good.

It should be in red font on the application status page

I love the deceptively optimistic wording here - "Upon acceptance", not "if accepted" or "should you be admitted", like the portal is trying to tell us "it's gonna happen! just wait!". Ugh, don't play with my emotions, portal. gawd.
 
lol what if there's a big plot twist and everyone who DOES have the red status message gets rejected? everyone try to stay calm 🙂
