I'm sure there is some truth to it esp for the superstars, but when I applied last year I turned mine in late August and received A quick II around early/mid Sept. My LizzyM was 69 and I was OOS, re applicant, nonurm, but I remember spending a good chunk of time on the secondary. All I remember from interview day was that they said they spent a good amount of time reading your secondary bc it's long.

It's so weird seeing your classmates post but not knowing who they are lol
 
Does anyone know if USF calls again after the first call? I broke my phone over the weekend. I remember Dr. Daniels saying there was a packet being sent as the next step, but I'm worried that they'll call again for some reason. Should I send the school an e-mail about that, with there no update policy?
Also, do they update the portal after the call? Haven't seen anything.
 
I don't think they will call again. I was accepted, and my portal has not been updated either.

Just curious 'cause I interviewed around that date for SELECT, but I'm expecting a longer wait
 
Does anyone know if USF screens their primaries before sending out secondaries or if they just send out secondaries to collect the submission fee?
 
If you've been accepted, check your email/portal. I was able to accept the invitation. It also said the packet will come "within the next week".

We don't need to do anything else other than accept the invitation, right?

On portal, pretty much all you can do.
I got the packet in the mail last night. There's forms in there to read and sign and send back (one is same as portal, to accept offer. Other is technical standards and disability accomodations). There's also instructions for later such as immunization records, and a student there told me that they'll continue to send stuff out, like making a USF email.

Edit: Also, Shannon's receptive to emails. She usually responds the same day.

Thanks for offering to help! I am interviewing next week and I would love any advice on how to prepare. Are the CORE interviews blind as well?
 
How long does it take to receive an acceptance phone call/wait list letter after the day USF said they would review your application post-interview for a decision?

It is variable. Most often they will let you know the Wednesday of the week following your interview but it is not always the case. Sometimes it takes longer.
 
Is it frowned upon to call admissions and check on my status? I'm from Tampa and USF is my top choice. Submitted my secondary late July and still haven't heard anything.
 
for those accepted at the end of last week, has your portal changed at all with anything indicating your acceptance?

I sent one and then heard afterwards they aren't. they responded saying that in fairness to all applicants they cannot accommodate in the area requests but I ended up being offered an interview during the time I stated I was in the area so.... that all seemed a little unclear. I guess it's up to you if you want to take the risk?
 
II. Heading to Allentown on Nov 16th to interview for the SELECT program.

Anyone else heading out for that day?

Hi! I'm also interviewing in PA on 11/16!
I'm planning to get there early (arriving Sun at noon) to get a feel for the city. Are you arriving early as well?

Also, did you find any good resources to learn more about Allentown and LVHN?
 
Do they accept more than 5 letters of rec? I've been submitted since July and know that they don't like updates, but I do have another good letter of rec I could send.
