Thanks for the reminder! 🙂 Did anyone else send a confirmation email to their instructed address and get a return email saying the reader was away from email and the email would not be read until August 8, 2016... which has already passed

I received the same out of office message. I called the admissions office but did not hear back... 🙂

Did you by any chance get through to them? Is it worth leaving the email be or trying to send it again?

Hi,

I received an email from them yesterday evening with a confirmation of the interview. Did you hear back from the admissions office, as well?

no I haven't, though I got a confirmation email about my picture.. Haha. Perhaps they're getting to me!
 
I thought secondaries were automatic. I never got one, but was verified in July. I have e-mailed admissions and left a voicemail with no response. Can anyone confirm that secondaries are automatic? Anyone else having this problem?

Secondaries are automatic. I don't see why you wouldn't have gotten one unless you were like under 2.5 and under 500?

I got an email confirming my MMI spot which said it can't be rescheduled. I emailed them back asking if I still need to confirm it myself but I haven't heard back. I did it on the 7th instead of on the 5th cuz I'm a ******* and I forgot it said 5 business days instead of 5 days. Do you think I'm in danger of losing my spot?


EDIT: I called them and they were super chill about it. I don't think that 5 business days deadline is as strict as they make it out to be on the initial email.

I think I was slightly off the five business day mark as well, but I got a reply saying my interview day was confirmed. They should email you back -- if not, I would call. It did take them a day or two to email me back, so I wouldn't sweat it if they haven't replied yet, especially since it's the weekend, but I would still give them a call.

I still haven't gotten a reply confirming receipt of my confirmation email (lol what a mouthful), though I did get the initial confirmation email with the attached file, which I'm pretty sure everyone did.. I tried calling them but no one picked up 🙁

On that note, if there is any applicant who has interviewed or current students who have any tips for the day, I would really appreciate hearing any 🙂 Good luck everyone!!

Not unheard of. I know WashU does, as does Colorado. I'm sure other schools do, as well!

No, I know people who have gotten post-secondary rejections via email.

Also, for those who have interviewed, any idea when we should expect to hear back?

At the 10/07 interview, they didn't give us any dates to expect decisions by. I did hear from some med students after that they take ~2 months, though another claimed to hear literally the week after her interview. Who knows! We'll see, I 'spose.
 
Rejected, complete mid July, LizzyM ~78.

Not too surprising as I had been complete for quite awhile with total silence.

Rejected: LizzyM 75-80, complete late July.

At least I don't have to worry about MMI's anymore!
 
Rejected too! Expected, applied because it's freaking Stanford and Palo Alto, but it's not the right fit for me

Current Status: Heartbroken
 
+1 for the rejection club. OOS, complete early September, LizzyM=78-80. I was fortunate enough to receive two other acceptances this morning, so at least it balanced out the pain a little bit! *sniffle*
 
aaand rejected! So it goes. OOS, LM~77, complete first week of july
 
Stanford graciously offered me my first rejection of the season this morning. I'm surprisingly numb to it -- obviously knew this was a great school and would be a reach! Complete early september, Lizzy M ~76.

Another one of Stanford's many rejections today. LizzyM 76-78, complete early July. Surprisingly ok with it.
