Soooo we all just gonna forget that there's a lot of us waitlisted lol? Anyone have an inside scoop or we still waiting for Gary to decide our fate?
I called last thursday. Gary said there were currently no open positions for people to be moved off the waitlist. He said maybe in June. I am on the bottom half, so I'm trying not to get my hopes up. I would really love to go here though.

Someone should call Gary tomorrow. Btw I also called Gary a week ago and he said that there are no CONFIRMED openings. But several people have already stated that they are withdrawing and maybe it takes the school a week or two to confirm the withdrawal and gather new admission offers. Or maybe they are waiting to send out more offers until they have seen most of the expected withdrawals.

I called and was told there has been zero movement for waitlist.

When I called, he said probably in early June.

Thanks! I also called. I'm getting pretty nervous now. They just told me the same thing:

1. Nobody has been accepted from the wait list
2. They can't share how many people are on the list
3. When/if they pull people from the list, they will notify us via e-mail and/or by phone

She also said that each year is different and that the list is not always used. I asked if they planned to use it this year and she said that the Admission Committee hasn't said they won't. Yay?

Hey guys, I've been following this thread for a while but this is my first time posting. Is there anyone on here who's gone through the 11-month PAP program? I wanted to know how much of a stipend do they provide and if there is some type of additional aid for cost of living expenses? Was anyone able to work a part-time job during this program?

Hey HappyDoc! I've also been trying to look up more information on this program, have you heard from them on your status (if you've applied) ?

I did apply, I called about 2 weeks ago to see if we would find out sooner than June 30th. She told me that she wasn't sure but it definitely won't be any later than that.

Does anyone know what specific immunizations we have to get by July 1? Do they require blood tests for specific ones to prove we have the antibody or are records of past immunizations accepted? I think I might have seen a form online somewhere, but not sure if it is outdated.

I am also waiting until mid-June or so to hear back from waitlists at other schools before I officially spend money on ordering the package from Castle Branch. However, I was thinking about setting up the appointment for now just in case the doctor's office/clinic is booked through June. If someone could let me know the specifics so that I can set up an appointment for now and cancel if necessary later on, I would greatly appreciate it!

They sent an email out with the specifics but yes, you have to get tites done and have a positive antibody result for MMR, varicella and hepatits B. Also, you need to have documentation proving you got the polio vaccinations and you need to get TB skin test.

Forgot about that email - thank you!

Alright guys - so I called Gary yesterday. Once again, same deal. No movement on the waitlist and he told me he 'won't make promises he can't keep' about when I asked him if there will be any upcoming movement.

Here are my thoughts: U of IL did the same as they did last year - accepted too many students thinking more would decline and go to other schools, but they did not. So now they have a full class and a ton of people on the waitlist hoping for some movement. So I hate to say it, but in my opinion, I think there will be no more movement on the waitlist this cycle. Since the multiple accept deadline was a month ago, and seeing a handful of students post on here that they were dropping their seat in the class, we all expected some movement to occur, but still a month later, there has been no movement.

Best of luck to everyone

They called me. And they told me the campus where they had the opening, but that's where I wanted anyway so I didn't press to see if there is leeway there. She made it sound like a few other offers might also go out, not sure how many though. I have until next Friday to make a decision. Before she offered the acceptance, she did ask me if I would consider it if offered lol

Has there been only one person moved off the list or can we confirm more?

Is anyone else having trouble using the Castle Branch site? I'm signed in to the account I created, but the site just keeps on stalling or crashing when I try to upload documents. I haven't been able to input any of my relevant information so far.

Interesting.....Are you from the top half? and are you in state?

For current M1s, did you guys find the big sib, little sib program helpful??

I thought it was mandatory.

Gaining advice from a senior who has gone through a similar situation is always beneficial. This is true for all things medicine and not. Plus, you will most likely gain access to some sweet resources to save a few bucks.

ACCEPTED. 1st and only acceptance for me. Peoria campus, from central or southern Illinois, top half. Bummed about paying for primaries, but so glad I don't have to do the whole cycle again. Still in disbelief.

Congrats! How were you notified? Via phone call/e-mail/physical mail?
Did they say anything about if there are other seats open at the moment?

Hey guys, does anyone knows where to order the 'short white coat' that is included in the list of required items they sent us?

Has anyone gotten more info about the 10-panel drug screen? I keep getting emails from castle branch asking to complete it.

Last time I spoke to admissions, I was told we would be doing it during orientation

Anybody hear about campus switch appeals?

I emailed admissions to see when we might hear back and they haven't heard anything from the committee yet. They also said they don't know when they would hear, but at this point there likelihood of a switch is minimal. It wasn't the best news, but really good to know that I should just plan to find housing, etc. at my initial site assignment.

So I randomly decided to check my status today after being placed on the waitlist and hoping for movement... did anyone on the waitlist notice how they changed the wording from "Applicant is waitlisted" to "you have been placed on our waitlist"?? Why do they play with my heart?????

I just checked my status and mine had the same switch from "applicant is waitlisted" to "you have been placed on our waitlist"

Did anyone ever answer this question?
There was an email sent out to people at the Peoria campus asking for our coat sizes (we got to try on sizes during second look day). You should be getting this from your campus, I am pretty sure because they have to be embroidered with the schools logo and have your name on them.

Hopefully! I'm on the Chicago campus and we haven't heard anything so far, so fingers crossed

I wonder what it means...
No idea. I also noticed the change, but considering we're going into mid-July and they're already setting up interviews for next year's class... it doesn't look good.

Hello! I am also a waitlisted applicant-- I have remained hopeful, but obviously as time passes, it is becoming less likely. I was wondering if anyone has spoken to anyone at admissions recently or has any definitive/helpful info with regards to what point the waitlist will be closed.

Does anyone know any information about how/when/where we are taking this drug test? I got a notification from castle branch but no other info. I'd like to get it completed so I don't have anything that is outstanding before going to orientation (Peoria).
