Would it be wise to send an update combined with a letter of intent now? I interviewed in late August and have not heard a peep post-II. I just recently got a manuscript accepted for publication, and I was wondering if it would be a good time now to send them an update/LOI or if I should wait until a little later. This is without a doubt my top choice, so I just do not want to screw this up.
Also, quick clarification if anyone knows on the topic of letters of interest vs. letters of intent. Are letters of intent only supposed to be sent after being waitlisted, or can they be sent in a situation like mine where I have presumably been put on hold post-II? If not, would it be wise to only send a letter of intent now and wait to see if I ever get waitlisted to send a letter of intent?
