I called admissions today to ask about campus placement and they said we would be notified by email next week.
 
Accepted Today via Email! ORM LM 71 interviewed on 10/6!! SO excited. Kinda embarassing... but could someone who was accepted PM me the text of the offer of admissions details and accommodations? I was so eager to submit my location choices that I didn't actually read through it all and now I don't have access. 0🙂
 
For those recently accepted, there wasn't anything in the email or portal about paying a deposit yet right? Just making sure!
 
Hello friendly SDN-ers! My interview is coming up on January 5th and was wondering if you had any advice for me going into it. I've had a couple of MMI interviews already but haven't had a "speaking with a faculty member" component to any of them. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!! 🙂

Congrats on your II! I would definitely look up common interview questions and practice them out loud in the mirror or with a friend. The faculty interview is pretty chill but I did get caught off guard by a question or 2 that I didn't really consider. Know yourself & popular issues in medicine/academics!
 
Hey guys I interviewed November 15th, I have not heard back... my friend who interviewed november 17th heard back... I'm very confused as to what my status is... anyone from november 15 hear back?
 
Does anyone know if they are meeting again before the holidays? I interviewed last week and don’t want to wait until third week of January

I haven’t heard anything and I interviewed October 25th. No portal updates either. I don’t know why... I’m IS with good stats. And they told me I’d know for sure my status on November 16th. Did you friend get accepted? I am pretty sure if we haven’t heard anything that means we are waitlisted.

I think they always meet the 3rd week of the month. It’s a long wait and I still haven’t heard anything for 2 meetings.

Interviewed last week as well, I remember they specifically said the next meeting is after the holidays, so I also don't want to wait that long but it looks most likely.

Hey! I also interviewed on Nov. 15 and haven't heard back yet. In a few earlier posts, there were people who interviewed on Oct. 6 that were just accepted after the Dec. meeting. So, it sounds like there's a wide range of interview dates that they're having to review. Really hoping we don't have to wait another month and that they're just behind on notifications, but it doesn't seem like hearing nothing necessarily equals deferral at this point. Best of luck!

Same boat as you. Interviewed in October and no communication after that. looks like we are on a silent wait-list, at least better then a rejection . I think next meeting will be on 2nd or 3rd week of Jan after reading last year thread.
 
Anyone know for sure whats going on with the Dean stituation at UIC? There's a new dean right at UIC? Charles Ray?

Which campus did you interview at? Rockford said they were unsure and don’t really know when chicago adcom meets

yes i really hope so, just doesn't make much sense for the people who interviewed later to hear back earlier..

If you're referring to the Dean of Medical Education, yes there is a new Dean who came on board in the last few years. His name is Dr. Raymond Curry, and he helped create UIC's new curriculum. He modeled it after the curriculum he created at Feinberg when he used to be Dean there.
 
People who interviewed recently, did they say anything about when second look is?

Can anyone confirm? This would be so nice to know for the holidays - I would love to be able to withdraw from other schools if I get my campus choice.

People have called in the past and heard we would get letters way back then. Didn't happen. Best just strap in and wait patiently. It would be a nice Christmas present though.

Yep. I've called multiple times and received different answers, which I relayed here. This is pretty typical of the University of Illinois system though, so no surprises lol.

I got one too. Accepted 10/26. The letter is just one piece of paper with more or less the same info that was in the accepted email. No mention of financial aid, campus placement, or anything else. Just a congratulations and thats all. I live about 2.5 hours south of chicago for anyone wondering about delivery timeframes or anything
 
I was also accepted on 10/26, but haven't received anything in the mail yet. I live pretty close by, so that's kind of weird lol.
 
Received the letter this morning. There's nothing new in it.
 
Its been 2 weeks since i submitted my campus preferences. Has anybody gotten their campus placement yet?
