secondary received, can't find where the question is? i feel a bit dumb...
There is no secondary essay or prompt to be submitted for this school. I just called in and confirmed it. @WedgeDawg you may want to update the top post to reflect this. The only thing we need to submit is a secondary general application.

Good to know. I was confused that it was basically just a dumbed down version of amcas. Do we just wait for an II after submitting both amcas and the general app?

thanks for letting me know! did you have an invalid value in the term during the general app?

Did anyone submit a personal statement and a resume/CV? If so, where should we upload them? I just noticed on the website it says:

Applicants are required to submit the American Medical College Application Services (AMCAS) application and supporting documents, consisting of the following submitted through AMCAS:

  • Personal statement
  • Curriculum vitae or resume
  • Letters of recommendation
  • MCAT scores earned within the last three years
  • Official transcript from all post-secondary schools attended.

You shouldn’t have to. That’s all on amcas. You’re cv is basically your activities section

Hmm. Okay. Not sure how I feel about that. I've heard good and bad things about this school for 6 year students, but it's hard to find info on traditional applicants.
Ya me too. It’s gonna be interesting since most of them will barely be 20 when entering the “M1” year.

There’s not too much data on traditional applicants cause there aren’t that many. I think last year, around 90 people got II from which 30ish people were accepted with 15 or so matriculants the majority IS

Didn't you post above that 90 people were interviewed and 30 were accepted?
Oh ya haha. I was going off of previous years threads. 15 out of the 90 ish people ended up matriculating but the total number of acceptances including the waitlists were more iffy but at least one person said around 30 so that’s what I went with. 17% for sure but maybe a tad bit higher depending on waitlist movement

I urge you all to reach out to some MD only students because not all of them made it to white coat, some students have failed classes before even reaching the white coat ceremony in August. Roughly 3 MD only students failed the HSF series last year. No school is worth it if there is a high risk of being unsuccessful. This is a fact you can confirm with the school.

I’m confused. How do they all not make it to the white coat? Plus isn’t the white coat in January since that’s when they start? Is there also not a good chance that those that failed were not prepared for the rigors of med school or is there something about the school curriculum, support etc itself causing the failure?

Can you elaborate on this? Do you know an UMKC MD student personally? I know there has been some talk with the 6-year student filing that lawsuit against the school. Didn't know if the same type of issues applied to MD students.

What is the interview format? I know it is MMI. How much time are we given to prep and how much are we given to speak?

Thank you.

But didn’t you already interivew? You’re just withdrawing yourself from acceptance consideration right?
I was supposed to interview on Friday, but got accepted to my top school, so withdrew from the interview that morning. Just haven't had time to post. Hope this gives someone else a chance!

Anyone who interviewed have opinions on writing a thank you email? Since it was MMI and I didn't learn/remember any of the interviewer's names I wasn't sure if it was worthwhile. If I were to write an email I don't know what I'd say besides thank you for your time and I'm interested in this school ?

I don’t think it’s worth it for an MMI personally. The chances of it ever reaching them is pretty low

They said in the interview that decisions would be emailed by the end of October, but honestly I think their administrative/ email skills are severely lacking.

Historically it’s been the first few days of November so in a way they’re right on time
