This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Was anyone else able to submit before they sent out the second “correct” link? I was able to submit on the first one, but idk.

I submitted the original one and even did the video prior to the changes. Still got a II. Don’t worry mate, it’s still early.

Interview dates available through late February.

Are you getting interview invites or rejections through email? Is there a way to check your status on the secondary application portal?

ok what is your take on letter grades at MeHarry?
I'd personally prefer P/F. What are the pros/cons of letter grades at MeHarry?
I personally like having letter grades because it keeps me on edge and motivates me. I know that unless I want to see a low GPA on my transcript, I have to push myself to do well, and then I feel better once I am able to get a B or a B+ (maybe in the future an A). I didn't do great in undergrad, mostly B+ grades, and did good enough in graduate school (so I am not terrified of seeing a B on my transcript because I have seen plenty before), but having letter grades kind of motivates me. I know that step 1 performance is most tightly correlated with preclinical grades (even schools that are pass fail have access to your actual grades), so I always shoot for at least a B in classes. If Meharry were pass fail I feel that I would be losing some motivation. Grades at other schools may be pass fail, but step 1 is not pass fail and I know if I am making Cs and am close to failing, then I need to work on improving.
In a way, its a good type of stress.

So I submitted the secondary today , but I was never asked to pay the $65 fee. Is there something wrong with it, or was it automatically waived because I'm on FAP?

I'm just confused because it wasn't even mentioned on the secondary app

You’re waived due to FAP 🙂

Congrats

Based on last year’s thread it looks like they accept updates via email.
I called the office yesterday..... tell me why did I ask them this question and whoever was on the phone never heard of / didn't know what a letter of update was. Then when they tried to send me to the manager no one picked up and I couldn't leave a voicemail

500 is quite low for DO too nowadays, the majority of DO schools i interviewed say 505+ average mcat
It's really not. As with everything, if you tailor your applications to find schools you fit with there are better chances. I'm doing well this round and feel confident I will get an acceptance somewhere. Please, try not to spread your negativity and understand there are more experiences than just your own.

I second this. Please don't spread negativity y'all. Getting into medical school is hard enough.

Hello, looking for some advice here. I submitted my primary and received a notification of its receipt on August 14th. I have still not received a secondary from this school and have both emailed and called. I'm pretty sure I qualify for the secondary if they screen for their secondaries as I have a friend with much lower stats who has gotten theirs. Any advice on what I should do next? Should I just take the L at this point?

I got verified in mid-July. Received all my secondaries except Meharry within a week.
I got Meharry in the beginning of October. I dont think you got the L. they just take forever to send the secondaries. Call again until you speak with someone

Thank you!!
