I mean MD would be nice but it's not a huge deal for me since I want to go into primary care. I have two II from DO schools (one next week!)My stats are also low for MD so I will see how this cycle plays out.
Rejected as well!! Keep your head up because I am tooRejected but I talked about something that was a stretch in my secondary. Disappointed but keeping my head up! Good luck everyone who got II!

I submitted the original one and even did the video prior to the changes. Still got a II. Don’t worry mate, it’s still early. Was anyone else able to submit before they sent out the second “correct” link? I was able to submit on the first one, but idk.

Congrats! Stats?II! Complete mid July and didn’t have to do the video
I personally like having letter grades because it keeps me on edge and motivates me. I know that unless I want to see a low GPA on my transcript, I have to push myself to do well, and then I feel better once I am able to get a B or a B+ (maybe in the future an A). I didn't do great in undergrad, mostly B+ grades, and did good enough in graduate school (so I am not terrified of seeing a B on my transcript because I have seen plenty before), but having letter grades kind of motivates me. I know that step 1 performance is most tightly correlated with preclinical grades (even schools that are pass fail have access to your actual grades), so I always shoot for at least a B in classes. If Meharry were pass fail I feel that I would be losing some motivation. Grades at other schools may be pass fail, but step 1 is not pass fail and I know if I am making Cs and am close to failing, then I need to work on improving.ok what is your take on letter grades at MeHarry?
I'd personally prefer P/F. What are the pros/cons of letter grades at MeHarry?
Rejection via emailAre you getting interview invites or rejections through email? Is there a way to check your status on the secondary application portal?
May I ask stats?Rejection via email
504 MCAT 3.78 overall GPA, 3.85 sGPAMay I ask stats?

In a way, its a good type of stress.
URM or underserved experience?504 MCAT 3.78 overall GPA, 3.85 sGPA
It’s pass/fail but you still want to get a good score to be more competitive for residency. I’m guessing that that’s what they mean
You’re waived due to FAP 🙂So I submitted the secondary today , but I was never asked to pay the $65 fee. Is there something wrong with it, or was it automatically waived because I'm on FAP?
I'm just confused because it wasn't even mentioned on the secondary app
Not a minority, and no underserved experience...other than first hand.URM or underserved experience?
CongratsInterview invite on Oct 12
IS, 506 Macy, 3.71 GPA, don’t remember what my science GPA was, URM and about 500 hours so far of primary care work
Seems like their interview dates are mostly on Monday’s
anyone knows if meharry accepts an update letter?
I called the office yesterday..... tell me why did I ask them this question and whoever was on the phone never heard of / didn't know what a letter of update was. Then when they tried to send me to the manager no one picked up and I couldn't leave a voicemailBased on last year’s thread it looks like they accept updates via email.
I heard nothing from them, I am not sure if they actually saw itBased on last year’s thread it looks like they accept updates via email.
500 is quite low for DO too nowadays, the majority of DO schools i interviewed say 505+ average mcatLow for MD average for DO. 500 MCAT 3.57cGPA 3.35?sGPA. This was a reach for me.
500 is not low for DO. I'm in the low 500s and already have 3 invites. it's more than just MCAT y'all.500 is quite low for DO too nowadays, the majority of DO schools i interviewed say 505+ average mcat
It's really not. As with everything, if you tailor your applications to find schools you fit with there are better chances. I'm doing well this round and feel confident I will get an acceptance somewhere. Please, try not to spread your negativity and understand there are more experiences than just your own.500 is quite low for DO too nowadays, the majority of DO schools i interviewed say 505+ average mcat
I second this. Please don't spread negativity y'all. Getting into medical school is hard enough. It's really not. I got verified in mid-July. Received all my secondaries except Meharry within a week.Hello, looking for some advice here. I submitted my primary and received a notification of its receipt on August 14th. I have still not received a secondary from this school and have both emailed and called. I'm pretty sure I qualify for the secondary if they screen for their secondaries as I have a friend with much lower stats who has gotten theirs. Any advice on what I should do next? Should I just take the L at this point?

I got Meharry in the beginning of October. I dont think you got the L. they just take forever to send the secondaries. Call again until you speak with someone
May I ask why?II. Complete July 4th. I'll be withdrawing my application. Good luck everyone!
