This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Thank you! I'm waiting as long as possible to submit my deposit so I have time to fully weigh my options, but I think I'll send the forms now. 🙂
Ya I feel you I was in the same boat but didn’t want to risk losing my spot so I just ended up paying it a couple days ago

Does anyone know if the Intent to Enroll and other forms that were mailed with our acceptances should be sent in ASAP or should we wait until we actually submit the deposit?
ASAP to make sure ur spot at the campus u want it set. I sent my packet through email it quicker.

Rejected letter came in the mail on Sept 26th for me. Anyone also get rejected from NOVA? honestly came as a big shock, i have so many M1 with way lower stats than me and I thought I had a decent application. Anyone know how to get feedback, if even possible?

I just got a rejected from Nova two weeks via mail as well. Well above their stats too. I really wonder what I did wrong. Damn. Still have a bunch of interviews but whatever.

Are there any current students who would like to chat? I got accepted into the Fort Lauderdale campus and would love to get some more personal experiences from students before I place a deposit. Good luck to everyone else!

any insight on what the interview is like? what kinds of questions do they ask? anything in particular that I should prepare before the interview?

They asked me about the leadership roles, study methods, volunteering, and healthcare issues in the US. Pretty basic and predicted questions, but as always, make sure to know by heart your entire app

I interviewed last week, I meant to update u guys here earlier but I got busy with midterms :/ (midterms r lame but im done in 3 dayz)! There were about 30+ of us who got interviewed, my interview was chill, I had one guy on skype and one lady in person and they asked me like six questions in total, tell us about yourself, why do you want to do DO, why nova, what do you do for fun, tell us about a meaningful patient experience you had and what you learned, and tell us about your academic struggles (it took about 30 min), none of them caught me off-guard but my person was super stone-cold and expressionless so just be mentally prepared for that and then that and a short tour was all over by 11, the rest of the day is super long so also be ready for that, there's gonna be many many presentations and more tours and information and it gets really really tiring so just be aware and ready for that but everyone i met, staff, current students and faculty were so nice, open and welcoming honestly ive been to other schools where it isn't like that so its really nice to see that LMFAO but one current student was going around showing ppl my SDN profile and asking who it was so that was kinda weird but overall a good experience but I was ready to sleep after it was over

Any updates on acceptances or when commitee will be meeting? Usually takes 2-3 weeks. But waiting anxiously... Interviewed on 10/1!

Any idea how often they send out interview waves? This is my top choice, anxiously waiting, complete since 8/16!

I was interviewed on 10/1 too! The waiting game might be the harderst part...

I also interviewed recently, a few days after you, and my group was told that the committee meets on 10/15 and that we can expect to hear back "October 20 something." Very anxiously awaiting a response.

My interviewers (2) were very relaxed and very kind. It seemed like they both wanted to actually know about me and my experiences. They asked why medicine, community service, organization, how I handle schoolwork, etc. I wish I wasn't so nervous because there really is nothing to be nervous about.

My interviewers didn't ask me much about myself but they asked me "how would you respond to this" questions...the only question they asked me about myself was "tell me about yourself" and that was it. On my day, everyone was coming out within 10-15 minutes from the interview. Mine personally lasted probably around 10 minutes. It was very weird, but hopefully good? I don't know how to gauge that. My interviewers were very nice but both kind of quiet.

I received a phone call today inviting me to interview on 10/24! They said that they had a cancellation for that date so they were trying to fill the spot! So excited although quite nervous it’s only a week away!!

Hey guys! I’m currently an M1 at the Davie campus. Let me know if you have any questions about anything!!

I interviewed on 10/1 too and they said the committee meets once a month at the end of the month and then give the reviews to the dean and it takes another week to be finalized before they send the acceptance... I figured it would be October 30th at the earliest

I interviewed 10/3 and they said the committee would meet 10/21 and we should be receiving an email if accepted by the 25th.. Not sure how strict they will stick to this but that's what they mentioned to us

For those who've been accepted and sent in the forms (Intent to Enroll, Dress Code etc.), are they being marked as completed in your application portals? They haven't for me so I'm not sure if I should resend them

Nova will send you a confirmation email saying they received them.

Can anyone who's been accepted or a current student detail the tuition cost of Year 2,3,4. Nova gave a standard student budget print out for year 1 its 114k for OOS and 107K for IS. I was accepted here and intended to enroll, but nervous about that kind of debt. I see other DO schools tuition is around 49-60K both IS and OOS.

I was accepted to Tampa Bay campus and after researching housing, the area, etc. The cost of living in that location is insanely more just because of the price gouge on vacationers.

I would like to hear anyone's opinion and thoughts.

Tuition is about $55,000 a year for in state. So between supplies, living, etc I doubt that would add up to an additional $59,000 for cost of living considering on the link I have above the average debt for graduated students from this program ranges around $240,000-$280,000 which is not cheap but most definitely is not 107,000 a year. Do you mind attaching the document you’re referring to? I don’t believe I’ve seen it

The OOS tuition is 61K then they have a list of expenses and it is the living expenses and supplies etc that add up to the 114K. Here’s the paper below:

I live 5 minutes from campus and there is definetly affordable housing in the area so I wouldn’t stress too much about that.

Thanks for the reply, can you recommend any apartments or housing?
