Is there anybody who interviewed between 10/17-10/24 that hasn't heard back? I'm wondering if there are some of us who they havn't made a decision on yet, because I don't get how mail sent last week would take this long.

Also side note: why do these schools do mail just to reject/waitlist us just send me an email

Me, I interviewed 10/17 and still nothing. I live about 50 mins from NOVA and have heard of people that live further receive a decision already. I’m not really sure what is going on.
Edit: I called and they said some decisions are still being sent out.

During my interview, we were told 100 students made it off the waitlist, I hope that alleviates some of the anxiety of a waitlist notice. Did you get an email or physical mail?
Aw that’s awesome !! I’m crossing my fingers haha. I got a physical letter in the mail, they didn’t send any email. I think email is only for acceptances

oh okay, thanks for the reply! I interviewed 10/31 and have been trying to stay positive about it haha haven't heard anything quite yet

you do need the 128G. There’s so much material you have to download and you need enough memory to be able to download and take the exams. Mine is 256.
Current M1 here (feel free to PM me if you have any questions!!)
I would - without a doubt - get the 256 storage if you can afford it. Just as a guide, I'm only through one semester and I've already used 50 GBs of storage. I would also highly recommend getting the bigger screen. Your entire education is on your iPad - books, lectures, videos, exams... you name it. I am using my iPad maybe 10 to 12 hours a day and I can't imagine having the smaller screen.

I received the “complete” email 10/28. I was invited for an interview on 11/9 for the 11/12 date.
Hopefully you were local! That is definitely short notice, although I would personally cancel every plan I had to get there for the interview as Nova is one of my top two choices.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using SDN mobile

Anyone from the 10/17-on interview dates get any updates in the last few days?
I interviewed 10/22 and havn't heard anything yet. I'll check the mail today for a W/R, but I'm debating if I should call to find out if an admissions decision was made for me.

Do you know where to call? Because I called admissions and they said that they could not give out sensitive information over the phone

I'd probably call/email one of the admissions counselors from interview day, but I'm going to wait until next week at least. If you interviewed on 10/17 and havn't heard I pretty much answered my question and we are in the same boat. Maybe our decision is late and I'd imagine it would arrive before they break for Thanksgiving next week.

Also, I would say not to take the interviewers reaction as a judge on how well you're doing, and in turn allow it to change being your genuine self. I personally thought I did horrible at the interview because they ask some questions about weaknesses in my application that I didn't fully prepare for (but I still got accepted!). I answered the questions honestly because I was on the spot, but beat my self up about for not having the 'perfect' answer. They're are no perfect answers, just your answers and your truth. You'll do great and just know you end up where you should.
Wow I wish I read this before my interview haha!! I literally felt the same way and still think I bombed the interview but yep everything happens for a reason so we'll see!

I just want to tell you guys that I know this is hard. This entire process has been a lot harder than I anticipated in every aspect of the word. But one thing I have learned is that a rejection or waitlist does not define us. There are a lot of situational factors involved in the process and as humans we have preconceptions that we carry which could lead to bright young aspiring students like all of you to be denied from an institution based on this burdensome and often not absolute admissions process. Call it luck, call it destiny, call it higher forces at work. Believe in yourself and that whatever this is, it is most importantly a learning experience to guide you to be your better self and eventually a magnificent physician. Don’t be discouraged, ever!!

Hey, not for me, but my girlfriend:

She got her interview 11/12 at the Davie Campus, and accepted 11/20 to the Tampa Campus!!! Woo-hoo!!!

This is for all of the future generations out there!

Fast turn around indeed, thank goodness.

that's awesome! many congrats! wanted to let u know that there is a facebook group for the clearwater campus if she would like to join! Log into Facebook | Facebook

I'll be withdrawing my acceptance here and I'm hoping it goes to one of you!

In terms of the interview process, I definitely agree with other users about not letting the initial reactions get to you too much. As someone who has an MCAT score that is by far & away the weakest aspect of my application, I was straight up asked something along the lines of "if you weren't able to excel in taking the MCAT, how do you expect to succeed with the onslaught of standardized tests that accompany medical education?" Definitely wasn't expecting it and was thrown off guard, but I was extremely honest and self-aware in my response which I firmly believe is what the interviewers are looking for. This was confirmed after exchanging emails with one of my interviewers post-acceptance who told me that I was one of the best applicants he's had so far in terms of conveying why I would succeed in the program. The interview is all about being able to confidently hold a conversation by letting your personality shine through while remaining accountable and passionate about why you want to enter the tornado that is medical school.

Good luck to everyone!

Hi guys, for those of us waiting. I was able to contact admissions and they will be sending some decisions out tomorrow before leaving on break. I wish you all the best

10/31 Waitlisted. Has anyone been rejected post-interview or is the waitlist basically a soft rejection?

Current M1 at Davie! Let me know if anyone has questions about anything!
