I'm sorry to hear that 🙁 What were you stats or why you think you may have been rejected?
probably because I'm not from the area. My stats are above their averages so it's definitely not that.
Just didn't fit their mission at all probably!

Just received my post secondary rejection via email. Just checked my portal which reflects rejection. I never had a portal change to committee. It went from No Decision to post secondary rejection. I was complete 8/5. Best of luck to everyone else applying!!

Thank you for contributing to our growing knowledge base! Best of luck to you and hope you convert that II to an A! If you don't mind my asking, which school?

Did anyone get an II without MCAT score? Do they have a minimum to receive a secondary?

I submitted mine on 08/04 and complete on 08/17. I am still waiting to hear back from the school. Hopefully, it will be soon..

Hey guys, so my portal changed to the status "interview" does that mean I got an interview? I dont have an email tho?

I guess it looks like "No Committee" doesn't necessarily mean good news is on the way. Anxious. Still on "NO Decision" though.

Did anyone receive a missing MCAT and LOR email in error, I just received two separate emails saying I don’t have an MCAT at this time and LOR. Yet it’s been months that both have been linked and every other school had access to it.

is anyone aware of what kind of stats they screen for? I applied last cycle but I was rejected pre-secondary but have since improved my app, but I'm not sure if I should apply again/is it too late?

I am a CA non-trad. with a 501 3.11s 3.07cum 3.5postbac and I got a secondary. so I doubt they're screening for high stats lol but parts of my app that may have stood out are lots of EC's in underserved communities, grad work at a DO school, and highly interested in primary care.

Actually just found this from doing some digging: “PNWU does not have a minimum GPA or MCAT requirement. All applications are reviewed for academic excellence, course completion, grades, grade trends, rigor of coursework, and other academic indicators.“

okay, that's promising. I'm roughly around those stats, and also doing an americorps service year & in a fulltime biomed masters program rn as well with plenty of primary care experience. do you think it's too late to apply?

Shoot your shot! I submitted the secondary last week. Still waiting to be complete. Honestly this cycle is so diff but it could be a good thing for some. You’ll never know unless you try!

I'd say go for it, but with lower expectations since its almost october. I think border applicant to lower stats help more earlier on.

I realize that, but also covid so I was hoping things would be slower this year. I already finished my other apps super early, I'm just getting antsy bc I've only had 1 II so far and haven't heard from anywhere else so i was like ope maybe I should apply to more schools

I roughly had the same stats and am also from CA. I was accepted last year but deferred to take a required ochem class I was missing and because my parents both are essential workers with preexisting conditions that put them at risk for COVID complications.

Same situation. I would apply

Hmm my numbers resemble this too. Any particular reason you feel you got the interview and eventual acceptance? I'm hoping to pull through as a nontrad from SoCal with not so spectacular stats. Could use some advice and hope! I feel you on the COVID worries, both my parents are on the high risk as well with basically all the pre-existing conditions they list as dangerous.

If I’m totally honest I think it was the fact that I speak Spanish fluently, not to took my own horn or sound stuck up but my mom really instilled this importance of speaking our language. I talked about how I used my Spanish to translate for patients in the ER while I was volunteering as well as helping my only Spanish-speaking grandpa advocate for himself while he was sick (nasty MRSA infection and end stage renal disease/dialysis). I wrote about that and how I want to use that to treat underserved Hispanic populations. I was also super upfront and took responsibility about why I’m grades were bad for a year in undergrad. Also I got in after the second time I interviewed the first time 2018-2019 cycle I got waitlisted. Oh I know I worry so much about my parents about to drag them to get their flu shots we don’t need that on top of COVID.

Okay so I scheduled my interview four days ago by picking a date. But I didn't get a confirmation email. Does anyone have that happen to them as well? Like... is my interview scheduled now or not?
