Accepted as well!! SO beyond happy. Wow.
I also had my interview today!! What do you all think about today’s interview??
Got an interview today scheduled for 01/13/2021, was able to request a couple earlier dates next month. Already have one acceptance, but won't shy away from an opportunity. For awhile PNWU was my #1 pick. Wish me luck
For those who were accepted, how soon after you were interviewed did you receive an acceptance? Thanks
Overall it was really great. I thought the break out sessions were interesting and a good opportunity to have a relaxed, group setting which speaks to their community vibe. That being said, I wish I had a professor or dean or something along those lines as a part of my last session. I felt it was a little hard to get some of the grittier questions answered with the administration in my group just since their knowledge was limited to their specific support department.
And I def got tripped up in one of the MMIs since I answered the question too vaguely and didn’t give a proper, specific example.
Otherwise it was a great dialogue overall. I love how much the students love the community atmosphere! This is my top choice.
You?
Congrats! Did you ever get placed on committee or went straight to interview?Got an interview today scheduled for 01/13/2021, was able to request a couple earlier dates next month. Already have one acceptance, but won't shy away from an opportunity. For awhile PNWU was my #1 pick. Wish me luck

It sounds like we may have been in the same breakout session. But I completely agree. I think it would have been more beneficial to the applicants if we either able to enter and exit breakout sessions ourselves or if there was some type of rotation so we had a final opportunity to speak with students, faculty in other roles, etc.

Just wondering roughly how long it takes to receive a secondary from this school. I submitted my primary application (10/14) a lot later than everyone else here and haven't received any emails.
LOL bro ive been on committee status since 9/17Is anyone still stuck on committee status since early October? Is it normal that my status has been on committee for over 20 days and approaching a month?
Keep your head up! I'm a non-trad too. It's not over till it's over 🙂 Still early in the cycle.Rejected today 🙁 let me know how I read the email and thought it was an interview at first and then reread it and realized it was a rejection.... yikes. Anyways, hope it works out for everyone! Complete 9/14
I got a call at around 4:45 PM MST! An email came a few hours later.for those accepted, did you only get an acceptance phone call? Or was there an email? seems like everyone was getting acceptance calls pretty late in the evening and I work evenings lol.

II! Complete 9/10. Yay!!!
516 MCAT, 3.85 cgpa, TX resident.mcat & gpa? are you in-state?
Congrats on the A! But...you blew my theory out of the water. Was thinking they were really focusing on IS apps even if OOS applicants had higher than average stats. My son has a 512 MCAT and 3.5+ cGPA. Not quite where you are but still well above the average matriculant. He's been "complete" with PNWU since 8/26 and went to "committee" 10/14. Most of our family lives in WA. We're moved to VA in the military and stayed because of jobs. Want to move back to WA so we're hoping he gets an II and A from PNWU. That would be a key piece to the puzzle!516 MCAT, 3.85 cgpa, TX resident.
I to think it is a mission fit more than anything. I’m a OOS with no ties to Washington and below stat for both MCAT and gpa. I expressed my passion for rural and underserved communities and I think that helped me get an II which eventually turned into an acceptance.Just an interview (January 28th) so far, but thank you. Does the school accept letters of interest? I think a letter outlining his close ties to the area might be helpful. I have absolutely no ties to Washington, but I think it might be a mission fit thing as well as stats. I wrote about my passion for serving the underserved in rural areas and interests in primary care. I'm also a nontrad with a wide variety of experiences, including being a teacher for 3 years. I suspect all of this contributed to the II and I might be the exception to the rule. Best of luck to your son.
P.S. I certainly was not expecting an II here because I thought the same thing.
IS here. I am in “committee” status since beginning of the month. So no idea what’s going on....Congrats on the A! But...you blew my theory out of the water. Question for you all: My app and all items were submitted a bit ago but the checklist still has pending for the letters. There is a due date on them of tomorrow. Does this matter?
No, my (and several other posters') letters went past their due dates. It's some internal thing and you do not have to do anything.
How long does it take to get any sort of confirmation on the interview date you request?
Is the Interview here purely MMI? Or is it a mix of MMI and traditional? Appreciate!

Wait, so you only have 2 questions within that time and just have to talk?It isn't MMI in the usual sense - you aren't rotating between stations every 8 minutes, but you do have 2 separate 1-1's in which they each ask 2 structured questions (so 4 questions total), and you have like 25 minutes with each person, I think? I was really impressed with this school and it definitely went higher on my list after interviewing. They are super nice! Good luck!
Sending a primary to this school today, but I'm noticing interviews are scheduled into 2021 already, am I too late in y'all's opinion?

Oh, that doesn't sound so bad then! I imagined them just staring at us and saying, "Here's your question. Now talk and keep talking! " LOL.yeah but it’s pretty conversational. They’ll ask follow up questions. The time flies by (and I’m not a super talkative person).
+1 committee since 10/13Is anyone still stuck on committee status since early October? Is it normal that my status has been on committee for over 20 days and approaching a month?
Just so y’all know, I was accepted and decided to make the 2 day trip and tour around Yakima. Here’s a pic I took of one of the local vineyards, this place is stunning! And the wine is amazing..View attachment 321657
My son has been in committee since 10/14. If patience is a virtue, I'm becoming less and less virtuous by the day!+1 committee since 10/13
Last year we were out visiting our daughter who lives in Seattle. She ran the Columbia River Gorge marathon. Bridge of the Gods Run - Cascade Locks, Oregon We went to Maryhill and stood where you did! There are a LOT of great wineries in that area. If you haven't done so, check out the Oregon side and the Columbia River Gorge. BEAUTIFUL!!!Just so y’all know, I was accepted and decided to make the 2 day trip and tour around Yakima.
