Panel-like interview, with 3 interviewers. 30 min
Was it an open or closed file? Also, how was the vibe? I heard schools like ARCOM are more relaxed but, others may try and grill you to see how you do under pressure.

Hey yall, I have an interview at PCOM coming up on November 5th and was wondering if ya'll know what the interview format is?
When was your portal marked as complete and when did you receive the II?

I think it was closed file but could be incorrect. I personally thought there was a mix of questions. Some were difficult to answer and tested how you do under pressure but some were to genuinely understand us as people. Good luck though, I am sure you will do great 🙂 !!

I AM EXCITED TO MEET ALL OF YOU!!!

Best of luck to all of you waiting - I'd be more than happy to share my stats/story in a PM.

Hey y’all! How many rounds of interviews have gone out? I’m super super interested in PCOM trying to hold out hope!

Anyone know if there is an incoming/accepted students groupme/fb/anything? I would love to get to know fellow future classmates 😊

I would love to start a Facebook group if everyone is comfortable PMing their names / acceptance letters so I can add and verify them.

I’d also be interested in being part of a Slack/GroupMe/Discord but I have no idea how those work lol

If anyone else knows for sure that they will be committing here I made a Facebook group 🙂

If I recall correctly in the past they have interviewed as late as March.

Also, to those still waiting, I attached a thumbnail of what the update to your PCOM Portal will look like - I saw this notification before the acceptance email was sent to me.

Congrats! I haven't received an II from this school, but I LOVE that they charge a reasonable tuition deposit of $250 versus 1-2k.

It’s actually a 2 part deposit : $250 due within the first month or so, depending on when you were accepted + $500 later in the Spring.
Per their website:

PCOM follows the AACOMAS Traffic Guidelines, therefore accepted DO program applicants are asked to send a $250 non-refundable tuition prepayment according to the following schedule:

  • Those accepted prior to November 15 will have until December 14.
  • Those accepted between November 15 and January 14 will have 30 days.
  • Those accepted between January 15 and May 14 will have 14 days.
  • Those accepted on or after May 15 may be asked for an immediate deposit.
All accepted candidates are also required to remit a $750 non-refundable deposit by April 15, 2021.

Complete late August and no word for me yet.

Oh my stars, no. I was complete late September. All of these months are starting to blend. Sorry!

Complete late August MCAT 507 GPA 3.7 also silence (aside from the 100 webinar invites lol) hoping for something soon! I’ve heard PCOM tends to be a bit slow in the process and I’m sure that applies this year especially with Covid

Complete early August (as soon as they received my MCAT score), 3.68 gpa 512 MCAT and radio silence from PCOM. In fact, I have only heard back from 2 out of 24 schools. I think they are all a little backed up this cycle.

Just realized thanks to this thread that they hadn’t had my non-science letter on my portal despite it being submitted for months, so thanks everyone 😀

For LOR, did you guys have to resend it to them even though you've submitted it through AACOMAS?

If letters are a part of your file when the primary app is received they will have it on file. If a letter is added after it has been received you may need to let them know so they can pull it in manually.

is it too late to send a primary to this school? LM: 61. Strong EC/personal story

Planning on submitting my primary this weekend... Am I too late for this school??

Do they accept pre-II updates? I’ll call them Monday to ask, but if anyone knows please reply.

I know that PCOM has a mmi format and a lot of ethical questions. Are these questions acting scenarios or non-acting?

It is not mmi format, its just you and three or two interviewers (a panel situation). They just include ethical questions in the interview, so its non-acting!
