Just got accepted into MCG. Will be withdrawing from my seat!! Good luck to you all who have yet to be accepted, and congrats to all that have been
Congrats!! You were really helpful in this thread. Also can you give us an update # on how many ppl are in the accepted group me chat? If possible. I know you said 51 at the beginning of Jan. Thank you!

To hell with this process. I was complete in October, did MHS and I’ve heard nothing. I’m withdrawing my application. I’m not applying again and I’ve learned a lot about how hard work doesn’t always mean you’ll be satisfied.
Have you heard anything back from the MHS program. I am considering applying for it as a back-up plan since I have not heard back from the med school.

If you meet the priority deadline, and you are one of the applicants that they marked to be reviewed first then you should hear back by the set deadline, for my cohort it was in April, not sure if it is the same for yall. Otherwise, most people hear back from that program around July.

Or a good question is how many black males have the accepted for meharrg

Interesting that you ask that because I’ve heard a lot of ongoing conversations about the recent class profile when images surfaced. About it being less black than normal. But also could be just only what people see.

Well although it is historically an HBCU, its current mission talks about fostering diversity overall and "providing opportunities for people of color and individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds", so I wouldn't be surprised if it is an ongoing effort on their part to open up their admissions to non-Black people who also fall under those definitions. It would therefore also not surprise me if the percentage of Black students decreased over time, and if that corresponded to an increase in the percentage of students of other disadvantage identities/backgrounds.

Has anyone received an II that submitted secondary around 11/30?
No not yet. I'm wondering if they hit the 11/28 pile yet. Perhaps March? I know a handful of us in here received our secondary 11/28. I just hope they even have time to get through all 4000+ secondaries they sent out. Humans can only do so much by hand and time is ticking.

Got mines that same day and there was a lot of us on SDN who received it!! Maybe there just slow

I haven’t gotten anything yet but it seemed like a couple weeks ago they sent out interviews to some of the other people that got secondaries on 11/28. I assumed that because I submitted my secondary on 11/30 I would have to wait a bit. I think they are still working on us

JUST GOT THE A!
Secondary received 11/28,
MMI-01/31
Student Interview-02/01
Traditional Interview-02/13
God is so good. This is my third time applying and I often questioned if I was ever going to get to this point. This process is so rough, but God never puts purpose in your heart for no reason.
I know everyone on this thread will have a FLOURISHING career in medicine. We got this. Sending y’all positive energy and love❤️

Yes I submitted 6 days after to edit. We just have to wait and pray for the best!! I always remind myself that they are doing all of this by hand. So patience is key.

don't you get a guaranteed interview with mhs program??
Let me clear up some things since I did this program, It is a guaranteed interview if you meet the set MCAT/DAT scores and GPA for the respective program for that year you are in the MHS program. If you apply after the program has conceded, then I believe you are placed among the general application pool. Another thing is, your behavior/interactions with the faculty and your colleagues/ classmates throughout the program are evaluated, this is the part folks forget the most. By no means is this comment toward the poster that you were replying to.

I just wanted to put this out there. For those worried about the Academic probation, We had a mini meeting for accepted student that couldn't get into the zoom call for financial aid info (due to space constraint), Ms Dixon addressed it and was transparent about it. It had nothing to do with the Education offered or the curriculum. It was really basic infrastructure problems such as wifi, study space, lack of a Liason between students and admission committee which Meharry have sorted out most of it and are actively sorting out the rest and we were rest assured they would put everything in place before the end of the year. Also this would not affect you when applying to residency in the future. I just felt to clear someone's doubt and make you a bit comfortable if that helps.
thank you for clarifying, I was worried about this 🙂
