Hello! I applied early to this school and had four evaluators in my HPAC Committee Letter. I am still incomplete, so when I emailed them they told me the committee letter only counts as one. Even though I had four people contribute to it and dont have anyone else left to ask. I was under the impression that my HPAC office added the additional letters to my committee letter, but TCU informed me there is only one. I'm not sure if anyone else is in the same boat as me, but I have just decided to give up on this school. I have tried to get my new PI for my new research lab to write me a quick letter, but she's very busy and I think at this point it will be so late that with my stats I dont stand a chance. I'm not sure why they told me my committee letter wasn't enough but told others it would be fine. Just in case anyone else is dealing with the same problems I am!

When you say 4 evaluators in the letter, do you mean 4 people contributed to the 1 letter or there was the committee consisting of 4 total letters (I.e as in a packet)?

Just called to see if this was the case for me as well and they said usually, a committee letter will count as 1 letter but if your prehealth department includes the other letters in the one packet, then it counts as multiple. I would ask your prehealth department if they can send a new letter with the individual ones included!

Also for people who sent in a committee letter and have the status as "incomplete," the admissions officer told me she looked up my file and they're still going through the letters. So even though my committee letter has the individual letters, my status is still incomplete because they're physically reading all the applicants' letters to see if they fit the requirements before changing their status

I was told that it was a combination of both. They did an overall letter as well as included the original letters from the evaluators. But when they looked into my file they didn't see the extra letters. So I am just thinking about giving up.

This sounds like your school only uploaded the committee letter and not the entire packet. Are you sure your schools even offers a committee packet?

My school uses other LORs and puts it into the committee letter itself, but they do not send out all those letters individually as that is on the student. I also recommend following up with your original letter writers and asking them to upload them into AMCAS. The information, however, may be redundant from what is in the committee letter.

I guess people with committee letters aren't even being considered complete here? So strange as reapplicant I had no problem last year being complete but still not complete nearly two months after secondary submission. I had high hopes for TCU this cycle too, thought my secondary app went really well this time around.
My committee letter states it was received in June, but I am still marked incomplete. I just emailed today as I did not realize I was still incomplete due to this issue 🙁

The person on the phone reassured me that as long as the individual letters are attached to the committee letter, you're complete. I told her my status still says "incomplete" after about 2 months and she said not to worry, they'll change it. Part of me is thinking they literally forgot to change it? Idk tbh but it has me stressed

Please everyone, don't let this one issue make you so worried 🙂
The representative from the admissions department said the same in an earlier post, #233

I was looking up the TCU academic calendar and it shows that they only give around ~ 4-5 days of summer break after M1 then you're onto the next phase... is this true or am I completely wrong? I find it flabbergasting they don't give more breaks due to potential burnout.

Hi, so we get a 1 week summer break in July and then we get a month off after phase 1 before you start phase 2!

This is not true. If you have questions, please contact our office directly. [email protected]

We didn't forget to change it, give us a bit more credit than that! Our rep on the phone was telling you the truth. We ask for patience as we review MANY incredible applications this cycle. Thank you.

I would like to remind everyone that what you read on this forum is not all true. Please, before you begin sharing things that are not accurate, contact our office for clarity. We are here to help and make this process as easy as we can for you all. If you have not received an email saying you have been released, you are still under consideration. We interview for the next 6 months, hang in there!

from someone anxiously awaiting an II thank you 😅

anyone else's application still considered incomplete because of their letters of recommendations lol

Yea submitted 07/22… I emailed them last week about this and they said they haven’t gotten to some apps yet

does anyone know the hours of admissions? I called an hour ago and got an automatic message saying the office is closed

Does anyone know who the director of admissions for the school is? I tried looking it up online but I couldnt find it.

for anyone who has most recently received an interview, what is the earliest date for scheduling an interviewing ?

Has anyone heard anything either way? I remember them saying that acceptances would get a phone call and rejections/ waitlists would get an email but I don't remember them saying when.

Haven't heard anything yet. I don't think they gave us a time...I have been constantly checking my phone all day lol. Stressful but exciting!

They provided specific dates based on your interview date. I interviewed 10/10 and will know on 10/21.

Good morning everyone, for my fellow first interview date folks, I was looking back at the screenshot I took of the 'timeline' Powerpoint slide they showed us and all other interview dates are hearing back on a Friday so I have a feeling we will also hear back on Friday.

That makes sense but it’s just weird since they clearly said Monday 10/17. Do we know if anyone has emailed/called admissions to ask?

If y'all have read the last few years of posts, here's how the drill has gone in the past:

TCU has usually made their offers on late Friday afternoons, with everyone who has interviewed up to that point getting one of 3 answers: Accepted, Continued Consideration, or Declined.
Once acceptances started, there was a new round of messages every 2 weeks (Fridays).
@SOM Admissions, could you drop in and tell this year's crop of applicants if this is still your game plan?

Sorry if this is a stupid question. Does TCU send out a pre-ii rejection letter, or silence until the end?
