@SOM Admissions do you accept update letters? I saw one post from 4-5 years ago that says "no" but then a more recent post where this account said that "letters outlining interest" can be attached in the portal.

Last year they accepted a couple on the first batch post 10/15.

My guess is 30% based on a full 180 folks on the list each year. They interview 300. Probably admit 120 initially then an additional 60 off the cc pool.

Ahh sounds good. Do you think it would be too early to submit an update letter if we actually have updates to share? I want to share some updates but don't want to disregard their "At this time, no new information is requested from you" in the email.

You can send one, I emailed them about it on oct 15 and ended up sending them an update letter

Anytime! As admissions pointed out you are free to send in letters. I would certainly share anything new!

We don't do "soft R's", if you received a continued consideration email, your file will continue to be considered and discussed by the committee. You will be updated regarding your status approximately every two weeks. We know it's a long cycle but hang in there.

I was complete late August and received my II about a month later. Don’t know if they’re really following it chronologically.

Historically they sent out some IIs on these Fridays so I wouldn’t count pre-ii out yet. Praying for those who are waiting for an A (also my dream school)

might be waitlist offers? That’s what they verified per MSAR

I think ccs got rejected last year beginning in December

Honestly a good sign you haven’t heard anything. I got rejected in December applying in August last year. They’ll interview through the spring

Next updates will be sent late this afternoon for those who have already interviewed. Continued consideration is not a waitlist. Applicants are continuously reviewed during each admissions committee meeting throughout the season. A formal waitlist will be established and communicated in the Spring after the completion of interviews. As a reminder, we do accept updates and they can be uploaded directly to your AMP portal.
