Gotcha, thank you. Do you have any tips for formatting a letter of interest?
reddit will have guidelines. doesn’t have to be anything crazy just relate your application to the schools mission a bit and let them know that they are still on your priority list.

Hi all! Anyone who interviewed have any insight on how the day / 2 interviews went for them? Mine is coming up this Friday and I'm starting to get antsy. Thanks!

I interviewed on 2/14. The info session is quite long. The interviews were traditional but half of it was reserved for questions, so I would suggest that you make a lengthy list of them to ask.

Does anyone know how far along the med school building is and the expected completion date at this point?

Is this school looking for higher stat applicants, like 515 MCAT scorers? Just curious. I didn’t know the school started taking apps this cycle 🙂

Any idea how the WL works here? They soft R's, legit WL or what?
On my acceptance phone call the adcom said the interviewers really liked me but they still WLed me. Looks like they’re just being conservative and making sure everyone gets an equal shot at a seat

What was second look like? Do you know how many spots are unfilled?
I believe they have accepted 48 students—33 students attended second look.

There was an ARCHES presentation, faculty q/a panel, and student support services q/a. The Dean of Stanford med was there as was Alice.

They showed that they are implementing ultrasound in the curriculum and had some demos with that. They also displayed some plastinated anatomy models and had us try on VR headset’s for virtual anatomy.

Lastly, we had a hard hat tour of the med school (still in progress) but it was such an incredible space solely for medical students and faculty. The area is beautiful, full of nature, but Bentonville also felt very corporate because of Walmart HQ (lot of people moving in for that).

Lastly they had a social event at the end and everyone was really nice. Plus Crystal Arts museum is sick and the food they catered was great too 🤣

Thank you for your response! Why did you ultimately decide to withdraw your A? Do you have any idea or estimate about how many spots will open up based on conversations with other admitted students?

I think the 16 students who weren’t able to come to second look have the highest chance of giving up the A. I met maybe 3-4 out of maybe 12 students who weren’t totally set on AWSOM.

The biggest reason for me is location. I didn’t want to be that far from family and see myself in a big city throughout residency, so will be attending a school in a big city. I think free tuition could level out any concerns about the school tbh. The facilities will be amazing though.
