Got an acceptance call today with 1 one year full tuition scholarship. Would be still more expensive than my other acceptances at a better school.

This is just hearsay, but apparently scholarship offers are only just now coming in because a few donations were made recently. Scholarships are only being offered on a year-by-year basis for the same reason. I spoke with an admin and they reported some positive feelings about scholarships being offered throughout attendance at Belmont.

One open file and one closed file. Know your file and be able to talk about your experiences (this goes for all open file interviews). Closed interviews usually have standardized questions that all applicants are asked. Good luck!

From what I remember about my interview last year, I was paired with one faculty member who asked me like 5-6 pre-determined questions. Not quite MMI style but similar for sure. If you have some extra time at the end they might ask you some unscripted questions...nothing too crazy just usually an elaboration of your answers to previous questions.

"The interview had a about 30 minute traditional open file interview and a structured interview designed to learn more about your personal attributes"

Yeah, and I think the other portion were more behavioral questions for me? Definitely don't remember them being anything too different from other interviews, I've had.

I got accepted last year and was in the accepted student chat for a while. Almost no one got scholarships. The few who did didn't seem to have super remarkable stats...I think they use other metrics. Basically, I wouldn't count on it unless something has changed dramatically.

This 100%. I loved the school (campus was amazing), the area, the students, the faculty, but the cost was my main deciding factor.
