Hello, is there any ideas regarding when the secondary will be released to students for EY 2025?

I was verified earlier, but did not get a secondary. Do you know if there is something I can see to see if I qualify?
The official admissions team posted a message earlier this month, did you see it?

I would not worry tho! Students haven't posted in the chat yet that they received one either! keep waiting, I'm sure everything will be fine. 🙂

Thanks for posting this! Yes, we have started rolling out Supplemental Applications to eligible students and will continue throughout the week.

I did not receive this email. I met all the requirements, so I am not sure. Hopefully, I get an opporunity. Do you think I should email if I have not received any emails from them?

I have not received a secondary either, and I was verified 5/28 and meet the criteria. I would wait until at least the end of this week and maybe into early July before emailing. They might be sending them in batches! Process is a long one, don't worry about it 🙂

Thank you. Maybe they are getting around to our batch. Let us wait and see.

As previously stated, we are in the initial rollout of Supplemental Applications, which will continue throughout this week and next. No need to worry!

can someone post the secondary prompts? Also will you guys be listing only the NM campus? I would be open to both but since the FL campus doesn't have fed loans I'm very hesitant to say I'm open to both schools

It was the same prompt as last year

I'm writing my secondary and was wondering if it would be okay to discuss maybe improving my MCAT score for the first prompt when discussing what I could improve in my application? I was also going to discuss other experiences (like more volunteering).

I think I talked about exactly that in my secondary, though it's obviously been a while.

My best advice for secondary questions - be honest and reflective, and speak to your strengths. If there's a good answer to be had re: your MCAT, or your volunteering hours, go for it.

Hello everyone! Current OMS-IV at BCOM-NM. Feel free to message me with any questions you might have, I love to help any way that I can.

Hi. I have a slight question about the Bcom Florida. I know that access to federal loans is not available yet(from what I read). Was wondering on the case of how private student loans would then work. Does it have an income requirement? Otherwise, kinda would hurt to (if I do get an A) not to be able to afford it due to not getting student loans.

Great question. Our Florida campus is approved for private loans through Sallie Mae, which depends on credit history. Some students might require a cosigner. Once admitted, our financial aid office works with each student individually to discuss their options.

When I called, they said it is still very early in the application cycle, and it could be a bit before we hear anything.

Do most people complete the optional video for the secondary submission? I feel obligated to complete one but honestly- I just feel like I will be regurgitating information that is already in my secondary application, personal statement or written in my work/ experiences section.

I did not do it, my friend who applied last year did it and she said it didn't ever come up in her interview. But who honestly knows

Hi everyone! I just wanted people's feedback on this school's secondary. To go about the first question, "If you could strengthen one area of your application, what would it be? What have you done, or what do you plan to do, to address it and improve going forward?" do you think talking about my MCAT being on the lower end is ok? I'm just iffy about it since I am not planning to retake so technically I dont know how I would answer the improvement part of the prompt. How are you guys going about this?

I probably recc something other than grades and MCAT. Probably something more related to clinical, nonclincal, research hours.
I think I read advice not to bring any grades/mcat into such topics. But again not sure fully, just my thoughts on the matter.

You can talk about anything that you wish you could've improved on (or, how you will move forward in doing better). I suggest focusing on what you think the reader might look out for at first glance. If your MCAT score is close to or above the mean, it probably won't count as a weakness in your application per se.

Re: Secondary

The 2-minute video,
to do or not to do?
It’s optional, but still.
Thoughts?

If there's something you really feel you need to say in video format, by all means go ahead. There's no trick here, though, it really is optional.

If I selected no preference for the campus location, would I still need to explain that option, or can I just put N/A in the box?

always

i was always told to always fill in everything that’s optional! I think you should! talk about what you like about both !

Hey All! Current OMS-I at the Florida Campus! Would love to answer questions and help if I can!

How has your overall experience been?
So far it has been good! It is a new campus so there have been some details they are working out as the year goes on, but there is a clear plan to implement things like extracurriculars and rotational sites (There is already an established site here that NM students have been going to previously) moving forward. We attend the same lectures as the NM campus and all the faculty are awesome.
