2024-2025 Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine (ICOM)

Are they done sending out II?
I don't think so. They have some dates in Feb, and the rest of March and April are available for interviews. But I heard the class is filled. So, I'm assuming the rest of us are interviewing for a waitlist position.

Seems like another step closer to ISU potentially buying ICOM
This will really help a lot of students lock down research opportunities. Very exciting news.

For future applicants reading this thread, I am very optimistic about ICOM, I LOVED the admitted students day, they were very kind and even offered to give my mom a tour on her own since she missed that part but wanted to still see the school. They also send me a signed poster by everyone in the office with notes and congratulations on my acceptance, no other school has done that so far. Sometimes the small gestures go a long way, especially for something as grueling as this process can be.

OOS Conditional Acceptance 2/7, interviewed 1/27... Does this mean I'm accepted 100%? Bc it says if a seat doesn't open, it's an automatic acceptance for next year. I haven't received any other acceptances yet and I want to celebrate lol

Yeah pretty much. Congrats!!

I randomly checked my portal and saw I got an interview but no one ever emailed me...

As a student who placed his deposit back in October, I just got a text from the Dean asking that if I have multiple acceptances and am not longer considering ICOM to please let them know, so movement is on the horizon I am sure.

Conditional acceptance from 02/10 interview
Conditional acceptance as well!
If you're 100% certain to attend ICOM, email the admissions team and let them know you're committed. They'll give you higher priority on the conditional acceptance list. And, Congratulations on your acceptances!! Best of luck!!

At this point in the cycle there are only three schools that I would even consider over ICOM and two of those are the ones in my home state.

Does anyone know if we can ask for our placement on the conditional acceptance list?

+1OOS conditional acceptance, anyone know how long it took for them for a seat to open?

Did you also send them a follow up email expressing interest?
I did not, I only sent a thank you email after my interview but no follow up email after getting the conditional acceptance. In my opinion, I don't think a letter of interest is needed/will help because you did not get WL, it's an acceptance - they just need a spot to open up. However, I'm sure it wouldn't hurt either way to send one.

ICOM had a few impressive matches this year. 2 Urology matches (one at the Mayo clinic in AZ) 1 ENT match, 6 Anesthesiology matches, 3 DR matches, 1 vascular surgery match at UC Davis, 2 Orthopedic surgery matches (one at the Cleveland Clinic Akron General). Not too bad.
