Will be withdrawing my A here as I was accepted to another school at a place I could not refuse. With that being said, I went to two admitted student events for ICOM, and I will say that those who enroll here are in good hands, despite it being a private school. I posted this on another thread and will post it here as well:
About to start school here, I am very bullish on the school and its future, at least for a DO. The building is awesome. The culture at admitted students day was tight-knit and had a sense of community feeling.
The anatomy lab is amazing!!

Also, there is steam gaining about ICOM becoming a public med school, which would mean cheaper tuition, eventually a teaching hospital, and likely residencies, so if you are trying to buy stock in a school while it’s low…….
Here are some articles on the purchase. The state seems very invested in making ICOM a state school.

Lastly they placed decently this most recent match: 2 Urology matches (one at the Mayo clinic in AZ) 1 ENT match, 6 Anesthesiology matches, 3 DR matches, 1 vascular surgery match at UC Davis, 1 dermatology, 2 Orthopedic surgery matches (one at the Cleveland Clinic Akron General, and another at Colorado).
Meridian/Boise has a lot going for it as well. The area is growing, lots to do outdoors, and nice restaurants. I had preconceived notions about the school, but they have and are taking lots of steps to improve. Very little/no competition for in-state hospital sites. Throw an app in and give them a shot. I’m happy I did.
