I was wondering if anyone knew about changes to the graded curriculum? I saw a few comments on Reddit saying it will change to pass/fail in 2025 but is there any more specific details?

Fall 2025

Hi does anyone know what kinds of things are asked at the group interview/tour (should I prep for traditional interview) or what the experience is like?

Thanks for responding! I’m pretty nervous lol so wdym by q&a panel? Do interviewers ask us any questions?
Not really, for in person there were a few different representatives who talked about student orgs, financial aid, resources, etc. Then there's also a presentation by one of the main faculty about DMU, and a "coffee chat" with a few other faculty where you get to ask them questions, and then the student ambassadors do a tour and for all of it you have options to ask questions. Not a formal interview where you get asked questions

That sounds so peaceful ... if I go in with next to 0 prep and just questions about the university, I'll be fine? Sounds too easy...

To me, it was more for us to get to know the school and what it has to offer rather than a formal Q/A interview. I'm sure that faculty and maybe the student ambassadors are using the experience as an aid to their holistic review of each applicant though. I would prepare by researching the school, thinking of some questions you can ask the students, different faculty, and any of the panelists.

How long after your in-person experience did you hear an update? It has been over the 4 week period for me

I heard back 2.5 weeks from my in person group interview.

from what I was reading on last years, if I surpass the 6 week mark it seems like it is a WL. Is this what yall think?
I have no clue. I completed the kira in august and in the in-person 09/06. I called today because it's been radio silence and they just said "soon," which I think means I've been waitlisted or rejected, and I'm this close to having a nervous breakdown.

I was also at the in-person on 9/6 and radio silence. I haven't reached out yet but will probably email them at the 6 week mark

Anyone else got the continued interest survey? Is this a good sign?

The required informational session was great, really learned a lot about the school. They also mentioned that for the incoming 2025 class, the pre-clinical courses will be pass/fail! Super excited about that.

how soon after the group session do we find out if we’re accepted?
Supposed to be 4-6 weeks. I’m on week 7 though and I asked admissions and they basically said “we’re just taking extra long so you’ll know in a few more weeks.”
