Congrats! Know your application inside and out, know your why medicine, and try to relax and be professional during your interview! Good luck, I hope you get in!
Any idea what the financial aid timeline is for this school? Are they rolling out scholarships in April? Anyone know if they have any good merit aid?

if ur interviewing in march don’t expect a decision till like may/june according to previous threads and financial aid stuff happens after soooo…
they’re rlly rlly unorganized in general too

I emailed the financial aid office about this and got this response:
"Drexel's College of Medicine (DUCOM) does have its own assortment of scholarships that it awards to its students. A separate scholarship application will be sent out to confirmed students who have filed their FAFSAs later in the Spring or early Summer. Please be advised that submitting the application does not guarantee scholarships, but please keep an eye on your Drexel email for updates in the coming months."
So very vague lol fwiw I have been told that Drexel gives out less scholarships (by # and size) than many other schools

I wouldn’t email about your status. Consider the deferral as kind of a waitlist and wait it out. This school has good movement!

Yes, PTE would be required before/on April 30th. And you can only hold one acceptance at that point.

That's what I'm doing. I don't even have a II yet so I'm working on a re-apply list and plans for next year to strengthen my app.

Gosh, I hope so. I know some of the schools I've applied to have pushed their II season into March/April due to the number of applicants this year. We can do this. 💪

I’m in the same boat. Interviewed in October and haven’t heard back still
Emailed, called, etc. They just said I haven't done anything wrong and no decision has been made on my file yet. They also told us in the interview that we'd prob hear back in december
They notoriously have the most disorganized adcom ever. They do not review in order and will not give any info if you email, and sometimes will not even ever email you back (they took 6 weeks to email me back LOL). Important to note though that them taking a long time to decide on you is not necessarily a bad thing, obviously 5 months is excessive but they gave me my deferral in 4 weeks and last year were giving people acceptances past 16 weeks of waiting. Really nothing else to it except keep waiting, Drexel is known for this unfortunately.

i have an interview with drexel in mid-march, but, based on the general consensus in this thread, it seems like i likely won't hear back from them until may or even june.. in that case and if i were to reapply, do i submit a reapplication to drexel?
Reapply to any school you'd be happy going to!

I doubt it would take them until June to respond post-interview. If you get waitlisted, then yes.
