Deferred OOS![]()
Late Octoberah i’m sorry when did u interview?
thanks for the morsel of hope 🙂This is somewhat random, but looks like last year there was a pretty big II wave at the end of January, a ton of II throughout february, and even some in march! Drexel has a long cycle ahead for those still waiting 🙂 QUOTE]
^^has anyone heard back after being deferred?
They say they have a timeline but they really don't. I also interviewed 11/4 and heard back with a deferral in early December. Some people last year took 16 weeks to get their decisions so it seems entirely random honestly when you're going to get a decision.I am OOS and interviewed 11/4 and haven't heard anything...planning to schedule send an email for this coming Tuesday at the 10 week mark, but is it safe to assume I more likely than not did not get an A?
Probably post an individual thread for this for discussion, but yeah it appears accurate. The average metrics among matriculants from the largest ethnic/racial groups are as follows:

- American Indian or Alaska Native
Total GPA: 3.56

Total GPA: 3.80
Total MCAT: 505.7
- Black or African American:
Total GPA: 3.55
Total MCAT: 506.1
- Hispanic or Latino:
Total GPA: 3.62
Total MCAT: 511.2
- Multiple Race / Ethnicity
Total GPA: 3.71
Total: 508.9
- Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander
Total GPA: 3.69
Total MCAT: 512.8
- Non U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
Total GPA: 3.78
Total MCAT: 513.4
- Unknown Race/Ethnicity
Total GPA: 3.71
Total MCAT: 512.6
- White:
Total GPA: 3.79
Is this true.
they have posted this exact message in several school threads....Probably post an individual thread for this for discussion, but yeah it appears accurate.
Does anyone know if we need to attend both the online new student orientation on July 7th as well as the in-person orientation on August 4th? Trying to organize travel plans
Can anybody explain how this process works? Why wouldn't I hear anything after interviewing in September, but people who interviewed in November already heard back?
When I was entering two cycles ago and last cycle, the first lottery ran in like late Marchdoes anyone know roughly when we'll find out which campus we've been placed at?
I interviewed late October and emailed. They just said my application is in a queue. So I feel like there’s no harm in asking hahaI interviewed in November as well and haven't heard back. They made it seem like they did it systematically but I am starting to doubt it tbh.
Do you all think it is appropriate to ask for a status update 10 weeks later or nah just let it ride.
Would you guys say you received your decision in about 7ish weeks? They said around 7-13 weeks at the interview but 13 weeks seems like a really long time. Hoping for an A here![]()
My best advice is completely ignore what they told you. I heard back in 4 weeks but there are lots from my interview day who have not heard anything yet. Last year it was normal for some to wait up to 16 weeks, so I wouldn't count on hearing back by a specific day.Would you guys say you received your decision in about 7ish weeks? They said around 7-13 weeks at the interview but 13 weeks seems like a really long time. Hoping for an A here 🤞
I did mine through the portal.Should I send updates letters through the portal or their med admissions email?
i dont think there's any harm in doing so.any point in sending an update letter if i am on a pre-ii hold here?
i dont think they're known for giving a ton of money, but they do offer some merit scholarships. hard to say if you'd get a hefty scholarship but if theres any chance you'd attend the school, might as well go to the interview. What are the odds this school offers a full ride or hefty scholarship? I have my interview scheduled in 2 days but I honestly wouldn't prefer this school over my current acceptances unless they offer good scholarships
