I think it’s variable. A lot of people describe it as a laid back vibe check where the student just gets to know you. Mine wasn’t that. It was mostly traditional interview questions in a group format which was honestly quite awkward. My student group interview was more stressful than my faculty interview, but from seeing other people’s comments I don’t think that’s typical.
 
mine was with another interviewee and laid back- some traditional questions you have to answer and then lots of time left to ask the student questions; conversational
 
Mine definitely wasn’t stressful, they asked very traditional questions, but it was super strange to just go around in a circle and answer in front of 2 other interviewees. The student that my group had didn’t seem to care much about being there honestly and didn’t ask any follow ups to anybody, so it felt like it wasn’t very important in my opinion.

To answer both, they are still interviewing and will interview well into April, Drexel has a really long cycle, but unfortunately pre-II holds are a soft R here and I don't believe I've seen literally anyone get off them in previous years. Drexel really is a "no news is good news" school since the cycle is so absurdly long.
 
Does anyone have an estimate on how many people they have accepted so far and how many acceptances they have left to send before WL?

My acceptance showed up on AMCAS about a week after and the financial aid (loans package) was about two weeks after, so hang in there!

M1 in-person orientation is usually the first full week of August, but I don't want to give you any wrong dates. Regular medical school classes start the week after orientation (orientation itself is a class, hence why I said regular). You might be able to find a 2025-2026 academic calendar online
 
Does Drexel really interview into April? I thought I was cooked since it's halfway through March, I wasn't expecting any more potential IIs to be sent out

Not sure if they send II's in April, but last year it looks like the final II date was 3/21 for the first week of April

They will either send II (although this upcoming week may be their last wave), pre-II hold (soft R), or nothing until their R wave at the end of the cycle.
 
Interviewed 10/18, deferred 1/3, and radio silence since then. When are decisions typically made for defers? Is there any info about what percentage of defers receive A's/get moved to WL? I would normally google for answers like this, but I can't seem to find anything.

First A’s from the deferrals came recently in early/mid March. Now you can hear back anytime until the official WL is formed which will probably be in May.

Congrats! From what I've seen from this forum, you got as good as a chance to get accepted as anyone who was interviewed earlier. They seem to decide whether they accept or defer with equal chance as they do earlier in the process. The chances of getting accepted off the deferment list are way more confusing.

For the interview, it is pretty laid-back and run-of-the-mill. No weird question or trying to stress you, just seems like they want to get to know you.

Got an email that says I should "accept" my loans within 2 weeks. Can I just ignore this? I'm waiting until April 30th before I make any decisions regarding finances for medical schools.
