2024-2025 Drexel

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Got an email that says I should "accept" my loans within 2 weeks. Can I just ignore this? I'm waiting until April 30th before I make any decisions regarding finances for medical schools.
Probably shouldn’t ignore it, can always call finaid office to ask

Hi, I was fortunate enough to receive an A a few months back and decided to withdraw it yesterday due to other offers and financial aid. I withdrew via the amp button; should i have sent an email/ should I still send one?

Discord server here, please let me know if this isn't allowed and I will delete it. Join in the mean time if y'all like and spread it to your friends! Haven't finished setting up the server yet either so it's gonna be a bit shabby

Did people get a separate financial aid email? I was admitted in October and submitted my fafsa about a month ago but haven't heard anything about it yet

if you haven’t gotten a hold or interview, there is a good chance they haven’t even see your application yet.
I think that may be misleading...I submitted in mid August and have not heard anything

To those getting accepted off the deferral list- congrats! Also, did you guys send letter of interest and/ or update letters?

Interviewed 1/29 and haven't heard anything. They said 8 weeks...which would be this Wednesday, but seems like they are a little behind so I'm not really expecting to hear back this week.
I interviewed 01/24 and they said 7-14 weeks which is such a huge time frame. I don’t understand why it would take 3 months.

looking at the interview feedback form, it seems they may be considering switching to MMI style interviews in the future? based on the study title mentioned when filling it out

Same lol. What's even funnier is that a pre-II hold here is essentially a soft-R based on previous cycles. Someone tell the adcom to stop being passive aggressive and give it to me straight
I actually tried but they never pick up the phone!

Is a post II deferral just an R in disguise?
Not necessarily, there are like ~5 just on this thread who have been deferred -> A already, but the vast majority will just be put on the WL whenever it is officially formed and re-reviewed then.

On my II day they said to reach out if you have not received a decision post II after 14 weeks have passed lol!
