if there’s an accepted groupme, how many people are currently in it?

facebook is mostly students as well as the Group me. There are a few members in the facebook that are either current medical school students and administrators but not many.

They send you a link once you pay your good faith deposit. If you have done this already and sent them confirmation then check the email they should have sent you back indicating what your next steps should be!

They did not say that. I was at the last first Friday. They will still be conducting interviews till early/mid April. They said they are not even finish reviewing applications and updates

i don’t think they meant any harm, just that a lot of info given by anonymous persons can’t be taken with 100% certainty. esp with the cycle coming to an end soon people are anxiously waiting to know something. if that’s what you heard then thanks for sharing but other than that nothing was said during the First Friday meeting that alluded to that.

I get that. It’s alright to be anxious and if Howard admin isn’t being transparent about this stuff or being selectively transparent that’s a problem imo.

When people say they are not going to Howard or going to other schools space opens up for other students. Waitlisted students are accepted students, but do not have the space at the moment.

It's not over til it's over! I also am anxious w results and interviews rn, but with the amount of students who will commit to other schools come May (with the choose one med school tool), positions will open! Interviews are conducted until mid to late April so don't lose hope!

That is precisely what I wanted to say. Yes, the class might be full now, and accepted students may have paid their deposits, but spaces open up later in the cycle when students begin to withdraw their acceptances and commit to enrolling at only one school.
