There is still a lot of time left! Per HUCM's website, IIs go through April. For some extra encouragement, in last cycle's thread, I saw an applicant whose application was reviewed in early August and didn’t receive an II until the end of January. There were a few applicants with similar experiences.

Also, I meant to post this earlier, but here is data from the Fall 2024 Applicant Pool (Class of 2028):

Hey yall. Is there anyone that has to retake their MCAT in January or do yall know of anyone who did retake in January and got in? I’m super nervous about my mcat and I have already submitted my secondary and received an email saying that I have been put on hold and they are waiting to see my new mcat score

I am taking the MCAT again in January but my application still hasn't been reviewed. So did they review your application or just put you on hold because of the new test date? Do you mind me asking if your initial MCAT score was at or above the minimum score of 495

It’s been awhile since a lot of interviews have gone out based on this thread and cycle track. I think it’s okay to have a bit of hope and some invites will be going out soon.

I believe so. In the previous application cycle, a user reported the following timeline:

• Submitted secondary: July 21
• Application marked complete: July 25
• Application reviewed: August 2
• Interview invitation received: January 25
• Interviewed: February 7

I’d recommend checking out threads from previous years. Although the info is limited and comes from a relatively small pool of people, I use it to get a general sense of timelines, see when others received an II, and better understand how the process played out for them. It’s not a guarantee (of course) but it can provide some reassurance and help you gauge where you might be in the cycle 🙂

Shoot! Honestly, I think you should be getting it in a week or so?

Most likely they received a bunch of applicants during that time period. I submitted 08/14 and got the reviewed email 09/23 ... the wait has been ugh, I've got your LM score too but I'm Canadian.

No, they didn’t give any updates at all. It was more of a Q and A session with medical students about HUCM (lifestyle, academics, interest groups, etc). Sorry for the late response!

Yes sometimes. But you can only be honest about your experiences. This process sucks. Personally been through hell to get here, and they wanna punish me for that, then so be it. But again, it's all about how you tell your story. But you also have to make room for them not giving a damn. Sadly.

I just submitted my primary application a few days ago. I was hesitant to apply this cycle because I am finishing a Post-Bacc program in May and wanted to increase my sGPA before applying, but I decided to just apply since most of my application has been filled out since June. I've listed my stats below, I know I'm super unlikely to get in since it's so late in the cycle but I'd love any advice on what I could expect:

MCAT: 501 --> 508
sGPA: 2.97 (upward trend, Ivy League)
Post-Bacc GPA (completed 4/8 classes): 3.98
