says ~120 class size

They've been so behind on emails, so I assume no one will really get a response if they submitted an update letter recently 😢

Just got placed on the waitlist! 😵. Interviewed 1/22. Which isn't terrible but still leaves me in purgatory lmao. If anyone has any idea what the waitlist process is like that would be so helpful!
I heard in past years a lot of people get taken off the waitlist so dont lose hope! Would you be comfortable sharing your stats?

I think my interview went really well! I'm generally a pretty good interviewer, so I wasn't really nervous about that. I don't feel like i fumbled at any point. The ladies that coordinated it were really kind. They do a few presentations of the campus and finances and stuff. There were maybe 10 students on the zoom call, but we each did our own individual interview in a separate breakout room with a staff member so that was nice. My interviewer was kind, asked good questions, etc. None of it felt scary! The student panel excited me because it seemed like the students really liked being there and so many of them said " i dont think my first year experience would have been as good as it was if I wasn't at Howard."

awesome, thank you!! it sounds like a pretty chill and laid back interview day glad to hear that you enjoyed it.

Anyone who submitted an update letter recently (past 2 months) get an II?

So if people are getting WL already, does that mean no more II are going out?

I tried calling HUCM Admissions for an update on my application and how things are going with the timeline, but I can't seem to get an answer. I really hope they're keeping afloat bc I heard that last year they were getting around 250 emails a day. Now I'm not sure if this cycle has more of that volume or less but I know that in First Fridays they've stated before that they're understaffed in the office. I am praying for some update, I got my app reviewed on 12/17 and am holding onto hope <3 I also sent in an update letter in Jan but no response yet (as expected given heavy volumes). If anyone here reads this and is also as anxious as me, I see you and understand you lol

Hi everyone, for those who got A, did you receive a HSASFA form email from financial aid? If so, where do you get Howard University's ID number? I haven't committed yet, and I'm bit worried if I lost something in the emails.

Thank you so much, and good luck to those above me!

not sure if this would be the same code used for FAFSA but I was also wondering the same

WL today 🙁
Don't worry -- a lot of people make it off the waitlist especially since the AAMC is going to start adding that primary school tool 2/19. It's definitely a lot better than a rejection and I will be praying you come off the waitlist. Just keep showing interest and keep your chin up <3

Hey guys! I don’t think I’ll make tomorrow’s first Friday since I have a 12hr shift. Could you guys please update me on any news about the current cycle? Usually admissions will state how far along they are in the cycle. Best!

HU sent out an email about this today. You won’t have one unless you have paid the $300 deposit fee

Has anyone been able to submit the HSAFSA form? It won’t let me submit because some questions are me to choose both answers which don’t makes sense.

last batch of interviews will be scheduled in early/mid April. They’re still sending out II as they reevaluate those who sent updates and who took January MCAT
Sorry to be irritating. But did you mean that they are only sending out II to people that took January MCATs or sent updates? What about everybody else that is just waiting? Best

you’re good. I meant that they emphasized their holistic approach, so in addition to those applications that have been fully reviewed already, they are also still considering those who sent updates or have taken January MCAT. Basically no news is good news if your application has been reviewed

I haven't either. The email they sent me when I asked initially was to use my AAMC ID. Im thinking I should just print out the pdf, fill it in, and email it with an explanation that the online form isn't working

I think they want you to submit online so you get confirmation email that could be forwarded to them. I filled it out and used the space given to answer those questions with explanations.
