I received an email saying they have received my primary and are in the process of screening to see if I will receive a secondary.

I'm seeing Carver requires 4 Social and Behavioral Sciences, Humanities courses. I feel like that's absurd.

Where did you see this??

Luckily I think humanities is pretty broad. I just made the cutoff haha.

Are we required to give them our social security at this point?

For question 3, should we just summarize what we wrote about in the activities section in AMCAS or should we just explain what our responsibilities were?

For question 3, I have some extracurriculars doing portraiture for patients at a hospital--this would not be considered medical, would it? Also what about health fairs through clubs?

Iowa provided an example MSTP CV in their secondary and it has references at the end. This is the first I'm seeing references on a CV. Is this common practice? Should I have references on mine?

How are y'all writing question 3? Are you just summarizing what you did, what you learned from it etc.? It's not a lot of characters so I'm struggling on what to focus on.

summarized what i did, like writing bullet points under a job on a resume

Are anybody else's letters of rec still marked as pending? It's been a little over a week for mine so I just wanted to make sure this was normal.

My LoR packet from my uni was imported the day my secondary was sent. n = 1 though.

And were they verified on the same day? Mine are all listed on the schools portal but they say "Pending Verification by CCOM"
I took 5 days (incl weekend) for me from pending verification --> complete.

I got the email that my primary was being screened to see if I was eligible for a secondary on July 5. My GPA and MCAT are well above what I would assume the cutoff would be (3.87 and 522 respectively), but I haven't gotten a secondary yet. Not sure if they screen beyond these stats. Is it safe to assume I'm not getting one or should I reach out? I'm OOS if that matters.

it took a while for my secondary to come after getting that email, they only screen for a 3.0 and 500--so maybe reach out

If it makes you feel better I got my email for eligibility on July 2 and did not receive a secondary until July 18

Got the email they were screening my primary on July 5th just got the secondary a few minutes ago OOS. They do a holistic screen so it takes time.

Does research (even if not translational research) count as healthcare experience?

got the primary screening email 07/02 and just got the secondary this morning.

+ OOS great tie. Secondary received yesterday (7/30) verified 7/17
