Do you know if it will be by end of feb for sure, or could it be further delayed? Their website still says "decisions mailed by mid-feb" and the wait is killing me...Heard recently from some admin/folks that it will be soon for the first batch to go out! Good luck!!
congrats!!! that might be the last wave for this cycle sighII just now. LM 80 and secondary complete 8/27. The only interview days available are Thursday and Friday next week.
my friend is an M4 interviewer, he said they were scheduled until March. Given the last wave of acceptance is the week of 03/17-03/21, it is likely that the interview will conclude in the very beginning of March.congrats!!! that might be the last wave for this cycle sigh
no not more hope😭 lowk just need closure LMAOmy friend is an M4 interviewer, he said they were scheduled until March. Given the last wave of acceptance is the week of 03/17-03/21, it is likely that the interview will conclude in the very beginning of March.

Most ADCOMS don’t respond to thank you letters. Out of all my interviewers, I think I had 1-2 that responded.Out of curiosity, when you guys sent your thank you letters did you get a response? I know they’re probably busy but I’m kinda surprised both the faculty and the student didn’t respond.
Talked to some folks and should be by the end! Also, if it helps, I interviewed very late (probably last or 2nd to last MSTP interview week) and got a direct offer around the end of Feb last cycle!Do you know if it will be by end of feb for sure, or could it be further delayed? April 10th - 12thDoes anyone know when Second Look Weekend is? Can’t find anything on the website.
Just read your reddit post too - Sending lots of love and support your way from a small corner on earth. I hope the acceptances you deserve find you, but also if you do decide to pursue something else other than (the often soul crushing scene of) medicine, I have no doubt that you'll find equally great success and happiness there !02/07/2025 - + 1 Post-II R letter uploaded to portal
Looks like some acceptances were released yesterday based on cycletrack. Do you know if there will be any more?Talked to some folks and should be by the end! Typically there's two waves (for example, last cycle there were two and I was in the 2nd one since my interview was on the late end) so there's likely another batch to come!Looks like some acceptances were released yesterday based on cycletrack. Do you know if there will be any more?
From admissions, this year, Hopkins received more than 8500 applications, almost double the number of apps they received last year. They interview around 500 applicants, accepted around 33-40% of them. Do the math, this year's acceptance will be 2.5%. Last year, they had the issue of sending out too many acceptance (I believe the A rate of 6.5%), which resulted in actual enrollment > expected enrollment. This year they are definitely way more selective. How do people think the donation has affected/will affect the admission cycle this year?
This is a pretty good overview of things/what's being considered and yeah the current cohort is overenrolled by a notable bit. From admissions, this year, Hopkins received more than 8500 applications, almost double the number of apps they received last year. Scheduling until the end of Feb suggests they're done sending out interview invites then, right? They interview around the same amount of applicants. However, the number of applicants doubled. They did not do more interviews, but given the large pool of applicant this year, it took longer time to read over applications so they scheduled until end of Feb for interviewing
i think this school is still interviewing tbh just based on the fact that no pre-II R's have gone out. i interviewed yesterday and late march is when the next batch of A's come out, so i anticipate there could be a sliver of time left assuming pre-II R's don't hit on like mondayScheduling until the end of Feb suggests they're done sending out interview invites then, right?

No, but according to the M1s I spoke to, they are planning to cover most if not all of the cost and they have historically done so.Has anyone received any info about SLW and potential financial support for it?
yea and I would think number of interviews is same but due to expected higher yield, they will accept fewer applicants from the interviewee pool. They interview around the same amount of applicants. Plan seems to be covering travel for sure, rest like lodging is still in discussion and such - info still getting sorted out on exact details so scheduling isn't completely settled yet.Has anyone received any info about SLW and potential financial support for it?
Following up - there's probably going to be another one and it may be around the mid March timepoint on the later end. First wave/decision date should have been for the earlier half/part of interviews.Looks like some acceptances were released yesterday based on cycletrack. Do you know if there will be any more?

I can look into it since I don't know the exact breakdown currently, but I do know rejections, WL, and As are all utilized so it's not that everyone gets WL if they don't get an offer for example. Will get back to you on this!Do you happen to know if they reject a lot of people post-II or is it usually just WL?

When I interviewed Friday, I was told they were going to cover the travel costs for any domestic travel!Has anyone received any info about SLW and potential financial support for it?
In general? I had one interview that was scheduled for 30 minutes and ended up being 15 minutes tops (interviewer showed up late, left the call early, and didn’t ask me any questions). Another interview was scheduled for an hour, but ran an hour and a half (45 minutes asking me questions, 45 minutes monologuing about the school).did most peoples' interviews actually last a full hour? throughout the cycle i feel like the max I've had is 30 minutes 💀
Yes! Both of my interviews went the full hour but still somehow felt like we ran out of time before the discussion was exhausted. I think different interviewers may structure them differently but both my student and faculty interviewers pretty much spent the first 30 minutes asking structured questions, then the second 30 minutes was much more unstructured and conversational.did most peoples' interviews actually last a full hour? throughout the cycle i feel like the max I've had is 30 minutes 💀
They’re working on a formal response addressing, so you’ll hear in the future! I’ll just say for now to wait for that and give anything you’ve heard about it from non-official sources a grain of salt.Has anything been confirmed re: the status of P/F clinicals here? Have been hearing that things will be back to graded with this incoming class.
This upcoming week should be the last interview week of the cycle for MD and MSTP has already concluded interviewsshould i consider myself rejected from them if I haven't heard anything? can't really gather if they are still sending interviews
Yeah this is the last school I’ll hear from. To me it’s not so much about the wait but how short the turnaround is to April 30th. I’ve been lucky and have other schools I’m considering, and just having a month to make such an important decisions is not that much time.literally on my hands and knees. GAH, another 26 days before results are out. Hopkins is my undergrad so I am praying for some love.
They have the Shepard’s Clinic which is free/low cost.Does anyone else find it extremely strange that Hopkins doesn't have a free-clinic? To have the absolute worst history exploiting residents yet no free-clinic to supplement the community with is horrible. I was in an interview (for a service school) and he called the Hopkins area a warzone.
I've come to accept that my Alma Mater will not accept me or send me a II. A great school with an overblown safety problem but also in a city where systemic racism and historical/structural racism is so prevalent. I hope all of you who were accepted will enjoy your time in Baltimore and Hopkins and become great physicians!
Guess my pfp checks out too 🙁
This upcoming week should be the last interview week of the cycle for MD and MSTP has already concluded interviews
Considering this statement and no indication of II this week, I don't doubt that they're done. Are they actually done sending out ll?
