Has anyone gotten an A without going to the On Campus day? Just curious to see how much they take that visit into consideration

Unless I’m mistaken, they want you to dress formal and even have multiple interviews with the dean and other faculty. So Im viewing it as almost a optional second interview session, as I’m sure it can impress then but also hurt you.

a quick question about the on-campus event at the Erie campus. For those of you who’ve attended, how was your experience? Did it feel more like a formal interview, or was it more of an informational visit? Is there anything specific I should be prepared for or keep in mind? I’m thinking of attending and would really appreciate any insights!

I’d be happy to share more about my experience!

I attended Campus Day at the Erie campus. At least at Erie there was no formal interview (I think the group interview applies to Bradenton). The day was more focused on giving us a feel for the school and its environment.

We started with a campus tour led by someone from the admissions committee. They showed us around the classrooms and labs, and shared a lot of helpful information along the way. After the tour, we had an OPP l demonstration from one of the professors. Before the demo, the professor casually asked each of us to introduce ourselves—just stating our names, where we were from, our major and why we were interested in osteopathic medicine. It felt relaxed and not at all like an interview.

Later in the day, they gave out light snacks while we had a Q&A session with faculty, which included a presentation about the different pathways from a professor, followed by a financial aid presentation from someone in the finance department. We ended with a Q&A panel featuring current students (mix of students from different years and pathways), which gave an insightful perspective on life at LECOM.

Overall, the day was informative and welcoming. Not sure if it’s just at Erie or the day I attended but I didn’t really meet the dean during my campus day visit, just professors and the admission rep. They do email you about the dress code before attending and I would suggest wearing business professional.

Let me know if you have any other questions—I’m happy to help! And Good luck ☺️

Anyone get a secondary from LECOM without the two LOR's from science professors, and only one science prof LOR instead?

yes i did
so it is not a hard requirement then? Cause I saw on their website it being a requirement. I'm really worried cause I only have one science prof letter and my ochem professor won't respond to me lol. do you mind sharing your stats if you feel comfortable?

anyone get into LECOM with an AIS of 119? I am hoping to apply to this school with my AIS of 119. My mcat score came about to be 491 which is around 121/122/121/127 so pretty low..planning on retaking on 4/25 but I think I will not reach 500..any advice would be appreciated

Got my decision this morning, alternate for LDP Erie Campus. Interview Invite 11/12, sent a letter of continued interest 2/6. I applied with AIS score (119).
where in the AACOMAS application did you report your AIS score? Do they give you an area to report it instead of the MCAT?

i don't think its a hard requirement. i am WL tho so not sure if it makes a diff but u will receive a secondary. stats are 3.5, 504

I am currently also on the waitlist for LDP with a high AIS score but a low MCAT closer in range to yours. I already went on the on-campus day and was asked about why I sent my mcat score in because my AIS was good enough to get me in straight away but I applied to other schools so I had no choice but to send scores since AACOMAS takes in scores. There is still hope because from what I remember they really liked me but were only concerned about mcat score and succeeding in the boards in the future.

I have the same AIS score!! This gives me hope!! I am applying this upcoming cycle to enter med school fall of 2026. My mcat is 491 so pretty low 🙁.

i have and it even took them like 2 weeks to agree they got it
Did you get an email response from them back saying they received it? I sent mine almost 2 weeks ago and so far only got an automated response back saying someone will reach out to me.

Hi everyone,
I’ve been on the AL for a while now, and I’m really hoping to attend the On-Campus Day on May 9th. It’s about a 6.5-hour drive from where I am (NJ), so I was wondering—
Is anyone else planning to go from NJ/NY/Philly?
If so, I’d love to connect and possibly coordinate travel. It would be great to go together.
Thanks so much!

I have been on it since early Dec and still waiting to get off of it!

Hi! On the waitlist w/ a very low MCAT (496), but have a 126 AIS (3.83 GPA, 29 ACT) and decent essays/ECs. I was interviewed in January, and placed as an alternate for LDP at Erie. Do you think there is a considerable chance of getting off, or is my mcat just too low?

Hey! Can I ask when you interviewed? I did my video interview 3 weeks ago and still haven’t heard back. I’m also attending on campus day on May 9th but I’m coming from Florida.

Anyone else on WL got an email today asking about their continued interest? Does it mean anything or just a regular status update email?
