is there still no federal loans? Any outlook when federal loans come?
We will receive accreditation when the 4ths years graduate next year and will then be eligible for federal loans

Rising 4th year. Feel free to DM or reply with questions.

Has anyone gotten a secondary yet? Just got an email that they received my aacomas app! 🙂

Email today notifying me that they received my application 6/21.
Verified: 6/14

No secondary yet!

Yes it’s already been confirmed many times
Do we know why ICOM didn't get fed loan eligible right away? Even though Noorda is promising, there may be a valid reason why the fed gov wouldn't give a school code to them right away after graduation.

I’m unsure about ICOM situation

Traditionally speaking, if someone receives a secondary application from this school. How likely is that they receive an interview? Is this one of the schools that presreens secondaries? Their website is down right now, so I was just curious. Thanks!

ICOM just got approved for fed loans and they will be available for the class of 2024-2025.

That’s crazy because they graduated their first class in 2022…

So with that Noorda students probably wont have access to fed loans until later, 2026-2027 or maybe even 2027-2028?

Last cycle, when did secondary invities begin coming in? I was looking and last year some people had got secondaries around this time.
Secondary invite started coming in July. I got mine in October. I was initially placed on hold due to my MCAT score being low than they preferred minimum as well as the not meeting the preferred minimum of 60 semester credits of science coursework in the last how many ever semesters they were looking at

Thanks for letting me know! This school seems to send secondary later than the other DO schools. I think they screen more than other schools.

I don't think ICOM is the best school to compare to when looking at this, they had a lot more trouble than most schools have had. A realistic timeline takes 6 months to get approved for FAFSA, meaning Noorda will probably have federal student loans available in 2026.

The official time frame from the department of education was 6-12 months. That was before the backlog of schools that built up during the covid lockdowns. They still haven’t completely recovered. Realistically the new timeframe is 12-24 months now for for-profit schools. Don’t think it’s specifically an ICOM problem but rather the department of education just being a dumpster fire after Betsy DeVos gutted it.

I received a text to check my email because I was invited to complete a secondary. It took a few minutes for the email to arrive, but I cannot find the Secondary App Form on their website.

Is there a specific place you’re supposed to record the video or do you just record it on your own and upload it?

They told me they are having problems with the check list. Last week they didn’t review anything due to classes starting
