Same haha. The call wasn’t coming from Provo so I thought it was a scam call. I’ve been pretty well in contact with admissions over email. I sent them an email of continued interest like two weeks ago.

Even though I'm IS, I've been answering every Utah number now haha
 
I guess Admissions got enough from their sample of calls yesterday to gauge melt and interest from the WL
 
Did anyone who wasn't called go from WL --> APS? And for ppl who were called, are you still showing WL?
(I wasn't called and I'm still on the WL)
 
I also received the call and am still WL. They specifically told me during that the call it was only a pulse check to ensure I was still committed. The only two pathways right now are acceptance, or receiving an R during the week of 7/7. They did ask me if I was planning on applying next year if I had to, which I am... it honestly made me wonder if that was them making a note saying, "Oh, good. We can bump him down because we can try again with him later." Thing is, I only applied to one school this cycle but will be applying to others next year. If I get an A somewhere else first, I may go there simply to not lose money on the seat hold so it isn't a guarantee I'll accept an A from Noorda if I'm lucky enough to get one. :/

They actually asked me if I was open to the idea of an acceptance for next year.

Hmm... that wording sounds familiar. If I misunderstood them and they were talking about getting an A for next year (I think that comes with the APS), I would definitely take that and not apply elsewhere in the upcoming cycle. Thanks for bringing that up! I think because I wasn't moved to APS (yet? someday? haha) I just discarded that thought as a possibility.

Right, all the info came at me quick, and it was hard to interpret it all!
 
Sounds like the APS at other schools where they give you a seat next year if one doesn’t open up this cycle. I’d totally be down w/that as long as I get an A at the end, but I'd rather jump for a seat open rn tbh

I mentioned I was working on the next cycle as well and felt the same way.

I was going to ask about whether this was a possibility or not as well. It would be nice to have a little time to make some extra money for those private loans 🙇🏼‍♀️
 
So did everyone who got a call get asked if they’d be cool w an A next year? Trying to see if the calls were simply for that purpose

They didn’t ask me that I’m pretty sure…I also picked up in the middle of work (in the ED) so it was a little hectic. But they asked my plans and whether I could make it by the 8th if offered

Yes, same! they didn't ask me about next cycle, just if I could make it by the 8th if offered.

Yeah, I was volunteering at a Red Cross blood drive, haha! I was caught off guard and am unsure about the exact wording. Something about next cycle was definitely touched on in my convo, though. I'm not holding my breath, though, and have been making plans for the next cycle.
 
Hey everyone!!! I got a call on Wednesday and they asked me the questions they asked everyone (are you waiting for others, would you accept if we defer, etc) but then yesterday I got the call! Will be attending and have paid the dues. Could someone pretty please send over the GroupMe and I look forward to seeing other students in Utah. And to those still waiting good luck!

Congrats!!! So excited for you! Did your status change to APS before you got the call?
 
This is going to sound a little wild, but I am trying to be realistic since school starts so soon, but does anyone know if you’re offered an A this late can you ASK to put into next years class instead?

To be clear I have not been offered either yet but tbh ( and at the risk of sounding ungrateful ) I don’t think I would mind an extra year with a guaranteed A to make some more money and tie up lose ends etc.

Just wanted to see what the vibe is on something like that and if anyone has heard of that being done. Again, I don’t want to sound ungrateful, I’m just trying to be realistic.
 
Seeing the class of 2029 Facebook group increase over the the last couple days is making me nervous about the possibility of getting off the WL 🙁

Noorda's bursar dropped billing notifs at 4pm M.T last year. background checklists are due at 5pm M.T and any who have failed or not submitted those gets auto-marked as administrative withdrawal by the system at around midnight M.T. Unless the staff want to make some calls before closing, or want to work overtime this week, we'll prob hear more starting tmrw
