LM?+1 OOS Newsletter!!! Oh boy!!!!!
do they have IS preference for newsletters??+1 OOS Newsletter!!! Oh boy!!!!!
it's pretty selective but that's just rumors I've heard from an ms2 my mom knowsEveryone gets the newsletters right?
18, thought I would be screened out due to low stats but they must've liked something about me to send me this olive branch
good to know! (im still waiting on an II🤣)Just a heads up, Northwestern made it clear in their info session today that the vast majority of acceptances will be late February or early March, with only a small amount going out in December. Most applicants who interview before December will receive a "deferred decision" notification instead.
Interview is p chill. Only thing I will say is that when you have time during the day, look up your interviewers to get a good feel of what background they might have. You get that info before ur interview starts. Helped me gauge the questions I could ask them too.Guys this is my first interview next week, any advice??🥹🥺
Congrats! LM? Bench? Submit date?+1 OOS Newsletter!! 😍😍
No newsletter here so I'm cooked+1 OOS Newsletter!! 😍😍

If you have Gmail, check your Social and Promotions folders.
Then kill the interview and grab one seat!OOS II about an hour ago!! AHH!! This is one of my absolute top choices, very strong ties, complete on 8/15!!
Thank you kind stranger!! :')Then kill the interview and grab one seat!
is an LOCI a letter of interest?A bit of an odd question - does northwestern want to see fall grade updates? Like if I were to send a LOCI?
B/c ngl this semester is not going so well for me LOL
Yep! I just said LOCI cuz northwestern calls then letter of continued interest for some reasonis an LOCI a letter of interest?
I could have continued my conversation with them but honestly I was so lazy. By the time I would have sent the email they've already sent their evaluations so I didn't bother. If you have the time & energy to send an email, I'd encourage it though! So i know they said don't send your interviewers thank-you emails but should i rather send them an email "continuing the conversation" of whatever we were talking about? like i have an extended answer for what they asked me about my research, i could include that? or should i just chill and do nothing LOL
You’re cooked. Pack the sunscreen.+1 Continued Review for Feinberg Vitals 🫠🫠 Should I send a LOI?
Northwestern sends a newsletter to prospective applicants! We’re joking around and pretending it actually means something regarding admissions decisions, but don’t worry, it doesn’t! 🙂don't know the jargon or tradition, is NEWSLETTER II, info or something else?
based jhin playerOOS II, complete 7/16!!!
Hi all. M4 at Feinberg with too much time on my hands, so AMA
The MSPE adjectives are quartiles which are calculated using the required clerkship clinical grades which are H/HP/P/F. Only preclinical is P/F.Hi!! I have a few questions!
Are you happy at the school? Are your friends happy with the school? Would you choose the school again or would you recommend a different peer institution? Did you feel well supported for the match? According to admit.org they use MSPE adjectives on the letter so is the curriculum not true P/F?
TIA
Very happy! As are all my friends and basically all my classmates. Our exit survey from the last several years has been around 90% "strongly agree" that they'd choose Feinberg again.Hi!! I have a few questions!

How do you feel about the 2 year preclinical? Do you feel as though you still had enough time to decide on a specialty?Very happy! As are all my friends and basically all my classmates. I have felt supported in the match. I'm applying IM and already have about 15 interviews, half of which are at "top 20" programs, for whatever that's worth. Every specialty has their own match-support system (meeting with residents, matching with advisors in the field, etc) although our student center (AWOME) takes care of everybody for Step1/2, ERAS applications, and interview prep.
For grading, it is quartile ranking in which clerkships are graded as H/HP/P/F. Your final class designation is basically 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th quartile (although last year they were like 25/29/28/18% instead of 25/25/25/25% if that makes sense). Your M1 and M2 years are fully fully pass/fail, and you really have to fail like multiple times or get held back for it to make it on your MSPE, from what I understand. Grades here really will only matter if you want to go into something like plastics/ortho/derm, but that's kind of universal across the country now with step 1 P/F. Everyone else matches very very well, even from bottom quartile.
