When setting up for Kira Talent, do you just stay at 75% complete until the interview? Step 4 just says to enter the waiting room but there is nothing to do when I am in there.

Yup! Good luck 🙂

Anyone else think it just okay, not all as conversational/friendly as they make it out?
I feel like I got questioned pretty hard about certain things. I got asked a question, gave a personal anecdote, then the interviewer grilled me about what happened and why I felt the way I did. Felt kinda off putting considering it was a fairly personal story, but I caught the R so I guess it could've just been me 🤣

NYU tends to give their As to really high stat students. It was good to see them interviewing people under 80 this year but I would go with the assumption they still have a low shot of an A.

Sorry to be extra neurotic but for those of you who just got Rs, wondering if they are rolling them out one by one or did they all come in at the same time as that first one at 10:45 ish?

Has anyone from the 9/10-11 MSTP interviews heard anything? I thought we were also going to hear about A, CR, or R within 3 weeks. Now I'm just anxious lmao

Does anyone who interviewed know if the “traditional” station is open or closed file?

+1 OOS Continued Review. LM 76

Does anybody know what this means? What are the chances of an A?

Any insight on when may be best to upload an update letter to NYU about the research position that I'm pursuing for the rest of my gap year? Submitted the secondary around 2 months ago and haven't heard back, was going to send this update to schools around early-mid november but I heard NYU tends to run their cycle earlier so wondering if I should send this to nyu earlier. I hadn't listed a gap year position on my application, just listed current projects that I was wrapping up on the secondary

Assuming they welcome this kind of update, then I say send it sooner vs later, because they are indeed a very fast moving team.

Yeah it was definitely slightly different than I imagined....I also kept having tech issues with Kira :,) so I was just kind of anxious and off kilter for most of it...I kind of wish they gave more basic troubleshooting tips for Kira? there's a help button, but it's just a bot that is only moderately helpful. However, I will say Dean Rivera was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and informative!

Tiny silver lining, but I like that NYU sends out rolling decisions instead of waiting until early March to drop the hammer. Much easier having that certainty now than four more months of anxiety ending in the same outcome.

This is true!!!

Does anybody know approx how many applicants go to continued review? What percentage of interviewees are rejected, CR, or accepted before the January date?

i heard somewhere taht 20% of interviewees r rejected immediately post interview

Just got an email for what looks like continued review for MSTP, interviewed 9/11. Not sure if this is neutral news as it seems to be for MD.

I got the same email, MSTP interviewed 10/8. I think they said 10-20% get rejected, so we're in the top 80-90% of interviewers. Still doesn't mean much.

Same here... a little disheartening but so it goes! I am a little unclear on their process though, did they admit the first round already?
