Yeah according to last year's CycleTrack it seems like this recent R wave was the big one, followed by a smaller wave of Rs coming in MarchYes. All post-II decisions, whether Rs, WLs, or As, will be released on the same day.

Still tweaking about that 30% post-interview acceptance rate, behind that huge streak of green is a whole lot of red and yellowYeah according to last year's CycleTrack it seems like this recent R wave was the big one, followed by a smaller wave of Rs coming in March

Yeah that's what I was thinking, just paranoid premed thingsNot significant at all. Whether you sent them or not, it won’t really make a difference
They typically release decisions first week of March, so being this close to decision time my assumption is they might not even see it beforehand. Never hurts tho if it’s a substantial updateGiven that interviews are finished, does anyone know if post-II updates would be valuable at this point? For reference, I interviewed in October.
Alternative, would be waiting for if I'm on the waitlist or not.
My guess is March 7th, but I truthfully have no ideaWhat day do we think decisions come out?
I think last year the decisions came out the Friday of the first week of march, so I agree with your guess. But the flyer they gave us said March 15th was when all decisions would be made.My guess is March 7th, but I truthfully have no idea
What we need is someone in here to have a friend at the medical school and them find out for us lol. I could also maybe email my student interviewer because he was chill. Making us wait till mid march would be cruel tho lolI think last year the decisions came out the Friday of the first week of march, so I agree with your guess. Do student interviewers have access to that information? If so, I may reach out LOLWhat we need is someone in here to have a friend at the medical school and them find out for us lol. I think it’s unlikely, but I could be wrong. Being so close to decisions being sent out could mean they’ve already gone over your application.Do you think an additional letter of intent would do anything now? I interviewed back in November and sent a substantial update in mid-January already...
this seriously shows NYU knew something we all did not when they made those massive cuts, paused the program, and rescinded people before that ********* even took officeInteresting article, not sure if there is any implication this year

Penn to reduce graduate admissions, rescind acceptances amid federal research funding cuts
Penn notified department chairs that it will cut admissions across graduate programs — a decision faculty members say will force them to rescind offers from newly-accepted students.www.thedp.com
Of course. A very reasonable conjecture though. They did what everyone is now doing months earlierThis does not show that, tbh. It may be that folks caught wind of what was in the air, of course, but it's conjecture
yea i don't think this is twitterPolitical opinions allowed on here?

They are usually a few weeks later but people have been known to start getting them earlier lately, i.e., within a week or two.Anyone know when Penn gives financial aid offers? Is it with the acceptance?
I really hope they don't reduce the size of the MSTP program but I'm starting to worry they will if this applies to graduate programs 🙁Interesting article, not sure if there is any implication this year

you and me both, friendUPenn Admissions, I make one request: either accept me or reject me. PLEASE for the love of god do not WL me. It would make my life way harder than it needs to be.
The statistically most likely scenario is that we are all given the WL unfortunately 🙁UPenn Admissions, I make one request: either accept me or reject me. PLEASE for the love of god do not WL me. It would make my life way harder than it needs to be.
Yes it's called Penn Preview and is in person in April, if accepted we would get information at that time (according to the email the MSTP director sent).Does Penn do a second look? Do we know when it would be?
Where does it say March 15? I'm looking through the flyers and promotional materials in the portal right now and can't find anything that confirms or denies this (although it does say "acceptances are typically announced by mid March")I think last year the decisions came out the Friday of the first week of march, so I agree with your guess. I saw it too, on the Penn MD admissions website: “Per the AAMC trafficking rules, admissions decision will be released no later than March 15, 2025.”Where does it say March 15? While it says this, we basically got confirmation that it will be by the end of this week, likely on FridayWhere does it say March 15? Calls for As will begin in the morning, around 8:30am. These calls will continue into the afternoon, even as late as 4:30pm. Most people who are accepted will have received a call by the time the portal updates between 4:30-5:00pm (last year it looks like 4:50pm). However, there were people who got an A and did not receive a phone call, only the portal update (which I assume emails you as well).Do they call or send emails for acceptances?
I mean I guess it's possible, but highly unlikely. For each acceptance I have, the time in the CYMS tool is later than when I received the notification from the school.I saw somewhere that we can cheat the system by checking the Choose Your Medical School tool. Apparently sometimes AMCAS lets slip whether you got in like a day early. Can anyone verify this?
Yeah it’s gonna be miserable lol. Thanks! Gonna be v nerve-wracking based on what pedneuro said about calls going out all day
Wait actually last years thread says MSTP is email only and at the end of the day so at least I don't have to be glued to my phoneThanks! Gonna be v nerve-wracking based on what pedneuro said about calls going out all day
