Another q for current students -- what is the block/exam schedule like? Some places do flex weeks/exams on Fridays rather than Mondays, etc. Anything like that here?

Hey guys which number are you calling to continue to express interest? I am calling the general admissions number and the DO admissions counselor number and neither is picking up the phone or returning calls. I am not getting any email responses either… what has worked for you? Thanks in advance

Is this when aacomas begins notifying schools of people are holding multiple acceptances?

That’s so strange unless literally no one withdrew or the school hasn’t started withdrawing applicants holding multiple spots

Guys, I have a theory of why there has been no waitlist movement in the past week so far. So I was able to talk to a counselor in one of their admissions Q&A zooms. I asked how many days would we have to put a deposit after being accepted, now that it is after May 1st. Well, she said that accepted students still have 2-3 WEEKS at this point to put a deposit. So imagine, even if someone gets accepted on May 2, for example, and decides to attend Western or not, they have 2-3 weeks to make this decision, and many of them use all the allotted time. So this is why the waitlists might not begin to move until late May or June.
Same thing with KCU-COM whom I called yesterday, I asked how long would applicants have to put a deposit, and they said 2-3 weeks also. So there are probably multiple DO schools, maybe even MD schools that are giving this long for a deposit, and then once that time runs out, things start moving in June. Look at the past year's WesternU thread, many people got off in May/June/July even.
Thank you for listening to my TED talk 😅

Dang, I was waitlisted in March. I guess the waitlist isn't ranked chronologically-- does anybody have details on how it's organized?
Me too, I was waitlisted 3/11. I also asked how the waitlist is organized, and basically she couldn't give me a straight answer. I could have got more clarification maybe, but I really didn't want to argue with the woman who decides my fate when she could see my full name and face LOL.
It's definitely not straight chronological though. There is some element of engagement level, or other factors, who knows.

3/10 here. Must be more than engagement - I've really been a thorn in their side lol. Flew from OOS to campus to meet with them and take a tour, sent a LOI, and then sent several follow-up emails.

I would say it's definitely not chronological, considering there are those who show extreme interest (LOIs and in-person tours, personal emails (all which I did personally)) versus those who did get waitlisted earlier but didn't do any follow-up. Logically, if you were WL'd earlier, you are more of an interest bc they were impressed by you more than other applicants but the interview, how you did in MMI, and what you do following the interview definitely will impact their feeling about you. Whatever the case is, they have the capability to make their decision on who they let off the WL and when so no point contemplating how they rank it. Also I was just notified about my waitlist and getting off the waitlist via email, no phone calls
