Just wondering, does Dell even reject interviewed applicants or do they just put all interviewed applicants in a WL pool if we don't match on Match Day? Thanks!!
Some will be offered a place on the WL. A few other schools say "everyone is on the WL"

Hello! With match day coming up, I'm still conflicted on my ranking. Even though Dell is a great school, I'm a little nervous about ranking it higher than some other schools. Has anyone ended up at Dell despite having prematches from Baylor or UTSW? If so, what was your ranking thought process and do you have any regrets? Thank you!!

A better page to talk about this is the “help me decide” forum. List your pros and cons there.

Anyone else rank Dell #1 and not match with no word? Do we know when/if we will hear waitlist vs rejection?

Hi! I am asking for a friend who does not have a sdn account. Any advice is appreciated. She had her interview back in November with Dell and got waitlisted last week. She's wondering if she needs to respond to the waitlist email (and yes, she still wants to stay on the WL) even her portal admission result already says "You have been selected for the Waitlist"

I cannot provide any insight since I got matched to another school I ranked higher than Dell.

It is courteous and complete to send a short reply to say they would like to stay on the WL.
They don’t need to do more than that.

Does anyone know anything about any merit based scholarships offered by Dell Medical School?
Any MS1,2,3 folks who can chime in?

Has anyone who never received a secondary still not get a rejection email? I saw a mass email was sent in December. I'm just curious...

i received a merit based scholarship from them about a week after matching (incoming ms1)
Had you filled the FAFSA in advance? Just curious to understand if there are any prerequisites that need to be completed before the school will consider you for any kind of scholarships.

No, had not filled FAFSA. the wording of the email implies it is merit-based

Here are a couple of notes which say otherwise:

AI Overview: You do not always need to fill out the FAFSA for merit-based scholarships, but it is highly recommended. While merit aid is based on skills, not income, many colleges require the FAFSA to determine eligibility for all institutional aid, including merit-based scholarships.

Anyways, thanks for your inputs. That helps.

When is the last day I should expect to hear back about waitlist movement?

I didn’t match to any schools in Tx, but I’m fortunate to have received an OOS acceptance to a state with some family in it.

I’m planning my move across the country, unless I get taken off the WL for Dell (my top choice school)

The absolute last day, since you have no matches, is technically until the first day of classes. For people with a match, may 15th is the last day they can get off a WL.

Getting off the waitlist is gonna come down to other students leaving the school first and opening a seat for WL movement, which will probably happen around April 28, 29, 30, and then May 1st. The # of seats off the waitlist changes every year so nobody can definitively tell you. Waiting is hard, but it’ll work out however is best for you
Should I realistically give up by June 1st then? My OOS A requires me to commit by June 1st

I got accepted off the waitlist today at 8 am. I am a Texas resident. Looking at the Admit.org website, it looks like another applicant also got off the waitlist on 5/5. I DMed this person and they confirmed they got off that day.

Congratulations on the acceptance!
If you use other sites for news as well that’s fine, it’s not expected for any of you to cross-check, cross- report or try to figure out who someone is.
