I just wonder how long Dell sends II after completing the virtual secondary.

Not everyone will move forward to an interview after the secondary, but from people posting above it seems to be 2-3 weeks

Does anyone have any information about letters of intent for Dell? Do they accept them?

I only plan to send one to them, and it would be a dream come true to be able to attend 🙂

They do if you have already interviewed

Hey! I have a quick question. Does Dell accept Update Letters even if you haven't received a secondary yet? If so, should I email it to them, or is there a better course of action? Thank you!

anyone know how late Dell is scheduling interviews as of now?

Hi any insight on when is a good time to send letter of intent, if you have already been interviewed?
If it is truly your son’s first choice and he has already interviewed, he should write one now before the first prematch offers go out.

Thanks, is it ok to write letter of intent even if you don't have any new activities to update the adcom since your interview?

It states your intention not your activities
Thanks understand that, letter of intent with no updates wont back fire? if they receive intent letters with updates, does that make sense?

Letter of intent = If accepted, I intend to go to that program
Letter of INTEREST = Hey, I'm still interested in you, here's some new activities I've been working on (you might be thinking this one)

Heard this from an adcom doc in Texas, if you get 3 interviews from Texas schools, you will likely get into one, is this true? just curious.
This is basic probability. Take the conversion (II --> A) rate of each of your three schools, and you can find out the probability that you will get at least one acceptance. Assuming a conversion rate of 33% at each of your three schools (which is realistic), this gives you about a 70% chance of scoring an acceptance at at least one school.

Of course this is kind of meaningless because it's all just abstract probabilities, and you could be living in the universe where you draw the unlucky 30% straw.

Probably lol this is a famous phrase but who knows. May the algorithm be in your favor… nah I’m kidding three interviews is an amazing accomplishment and at that point you’ll prob match somewhere, the hard part is to not go full neurotic before match day. Nobody can ever know for sure though, don’t get lax in later interviews

It depends on how a person came across in their interviews and also even if they did ok, how many of their competitors ranked that school #1
I’m not trying to be a downer here, but a realist

Pre-med neuroticism is already crazy, but pre-med parent neuroticism is new to me.

On the real, your son is killing it. The odds of him getting into one of the three schools are independent of each other and it depends on the performance of other students and their rankings as well. If he’s already interviewed, then all we can hope for is the best—thinking about percentages will only stress ya out

Do we think people interviewing 10/9 will be reviewed by 10/15 and potentially offered pre matches or is that way to quick of a turn around to hope for
Too quick. Interviewed last week and they said to not expect results on 10/15 for us.

Have an interview coming up with Dell, and I was wondering how much time we are given to answer the MMI prompts. Thank you!

Does anyone know Dell's post-interview acceptance rate?

They interviewed 348 people IS + 36 people OOS ... to accept a total of 50 people.
Matriculate*, not accept. In reality, there are more than 50 people who Dell would have evaluated high enough to accept, but they'll lose some to UTSW/Baylor/etc.

True. We are not reported those numbers, but yes some folks will rank a different school higher than Dell, in which case they got an acceptance but did not matriculate, or may later in the spring leave Texas completely for an attractive offer OOS.

I wonder if they're done with pre-match offers for those who interviewed on 8/21. Was really hoping for one :/

right there with you! We got this, if not today there is still the match!
dell student here just reminding y'all that dell is NOT a prematch heavy school and a lot of people who come here either matched on match day or even got off the waitlist! there is hope!! sending y'all the best vibes <3

Dell will accept and read Letters of Intent only after Match Day. (so, in other words, from folks who interviewed there but didn't match to Dell).
Dell's WL will include all who interviewed but didn't match.

Has anyone gotten any secondaries recently?
Not me. And it's the only school I didn't get a secondary from (got UCSF and UH) and it's the school I went to for undergrad. So I'm a bit sour about that.

+1 IS II! I am so grateful and excited!

Submitted secondary a little over 10 weeks ago, so don't give up hope if it's been a few weeks since you submitted your secondary. 🙂
