+1 OOS also is the CASPER and DUET required for Tulane? Or are they just used for research purposes

just received an application complete under review email

Quick question: for the prompts asking to list leadership positions and hobbies, do we write them like a normal essay or can we format them like a list?

100 words limit - be concise

Is anyone else have an issue with uploading your headshot? It won't fully load in there for me 🙁

I didn't have an issue, maybe try a different browser.
Also, it doesn't load the photo until you actually click "submit", then it'll start uploading the file. So that could also be a reason.

EDIT: Nvm I cleared my cache and it worked! Thanks for trying to help me! I really appreciate it <3

There are also some questions that trigger text boxes if you select yes:

Are you currently volunteering abroad or have you volunteered abroad? (Yes/No) Please give a short description (100 words max)
Are you participating or have you participated in a study abroad program at your university? (Yes/No) Please give a short description (100 words max)
Have you graduated? (Yes/No) What have you been pursuing since you graduated? (no word count)

And then they also have more yes/no questions, not sure if they trigger text boxes, hopefully someone else can confirm:
  1. Are you currently working or have you worked for one of the following organizations - Americorps, Peace Corps, Teach for America?
  2. Are you currently serving or have you served in the United States Military?
  3. Are you an Eagle Scout or Received the Gold Award from the Girl Scouts?
  4. Are you fluent in a second language?
  5. Are you a first generation college student?

Has anyone else who has submitted not had their LORs downloaded yet? I submitted last week but they still show as blank so I'm not complete/under review yet.

My LoRs + MCAT were already in when I submitted. It could be the system since I had a similar problem with Georgetown's recently, or it could be an error. Try calling the admissions office on Monday.

Anyone have any advice for prompt 3??? I keep pushing it off cuz im just like wtf. Already sucks to describe yourself without sounding like a jackass but now put it in the words of someone else even though youre the one writing it???? Just jackass central. No idea which direction to take it

I would ask your mom or dad or someone that knows you well to write a short blurb (or however much they want to write). You can then have a solid understanding of how to write next.

Is everyone submitting their casper to tulane? It says "encouraged" so not sure if I should or if it would look bad if I did not.

Did anyone else have one of the secondary question just disappear? It was the 60 word limit optional one. I had typed something in there as a placeholder, then I deleted it to paste my actual response in there and it just disappeared. Been trying everything to get it back, but nothing has worked... Wondering if this is just me or if they got rid of that question or something??

Same thing happened on my end I wonder if they got rid of it

Does anyone know if we should be uploading our CV/Resume in the "Document Upload" section on the left sidebar? I don't think there were any instructions regarding this section in the email invite to complete the secondary or on their website.

No.
Your AMCAS app serves as your resume and this space is used for future documents they may ask you for

I emailed Admissions, and they just replied to me saying that they removed that question from the application!

is anyone else having trouble with finding enough information on the website to answer why Tulane? I usually do a thorough review of med school sites to gather info about their specific programs like research, service etc. but Tulane’s got nothing med school specific except the curriculum. would anyone have advice on how to find more info? I know they are super community-focused but that’s about it. I can’t even make do with writing about NOLA because that’s a separate question

Just got under review email, secondary received and complete 07/03

Does anyone know how MD/PhD applicants are meant to indicate MD/PhD on Tulane's secondary? On the MD-PhD website for Tulane, it references "Indicate your interest on the Secondary Application you receive from the School of Medicine Admissions Office”.
I selected MD/PhD on Tulane's primary through AMCAS, but there is no question that prompts selecting MD/PhD on the secondary, even under the dual-degree dropdown.

The only relevant info I can find on this is from 5yrs ago in a reddit thread so just wanted to check if anyone had any insight.
