Omg Congrats!!! Did you do anything special like sending updates recently or it just came by surprise?
I sent updates monthly and sent an LOI.

I was pretty aggressive with my portal and updates.

If you can ride the line between annoying and showing you really want to be there, I think it helps.... and if I wasn't annoying then the line is pretty far, I sent an LOI immediately after my interview, and then another one immediately after my AR. I don't know what the etiquette was for medical school applications, but I just really wanted to go to Tulane and thought Nola and I were a good fit for each other.

My updates were also substantive and not just fluff trying to stay on their mind type things either which maybe allowed me to send more?

Congratulations!!! That's so exciting🤩 Would you mind sharing when did you interview?

I don't think they've sent any out yet. Last I heard they won't until July.
According to their email “
Merit Scholarships:
Merit scholarship decisions are made by the Admissions Office and will be sent via email before the April 30 decision deadline.

Need-Based Scholarships:
The application deadline is June 1. Scholarship decisions will begin going out in July and may continue through early fall.”

I personally haven’t heard about merit yet, I was accepted on 4/17

Based on Admit/some people I know, I believe most of the merit scholarships went out on Monday. And then need-based is still supposed to starting going out in July, but I guess the max award for that is $5k and very few people qualify.

Is anyone else's " Choose Your Medical School " tool still showing Alternate list for Tulane? I want to PTE because I got off 2 schools today, but it's not showing as accepted yet. How long does this take to update?

The tool updates at most once every 24 hours so you won’t see today’s offer updated the same day.

Does anyone know how much internal rankings for Tulane matter for residency? I’m hearing mixed things about it.
At second look they said it basically just appears as one sentence in the multi-page letter sent by the school to residency programs. So I'm assuming it does still matter, but not too much.

Hi everyone. I am applying to Tulane this upcoming cycle with a strong application elsewhere, a 3.8 SMP GPA, and a current 498 MCAT, but I am retaking the MCAT in July and will not receive my new score until August 24.

Tulane said I can submit my already completed secondary and request that they hold my review until the new MCAT score is received. Given how rolling Tulane is, would this be the ideal path, or would it be better to allow review now and send the new MCAT as a significant update later? I plan to submit my primary early since everything is complete. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
