Yeah, I keep doing that to myself to. It's done, but I keep tweaking things.

I'm going to attempt to submit VMCAS and supplementals this weekend. I have 2 supplementals done, one I have 2.5/3 essays done, and the last one is just a one essay one, but I'm dreading it. (Stupid Illinois mini-research paper). But yes, that's my goal for this weekend because I have a micro and history exam on Oct 2nd and tons of stuff to do the weekend before.
This just so does not feel real yet. I wonder when it will hit me...
 
My last LOR is 90% done...going to be hitting submit really soon...

WOW! 😱 I seriously thought one of my LOR writers had died or something, but he submitted my letter this morning!! VMCAS and Tufts! I hadn't gotten a response from him since July and was planning a panic replacement writer. pheeeewwwww
1 down, 2 to go... the other two are more reliable though 🙂

That's what I was thinking. (Although I sadly did not manage to get all of them into my PS. I tried, and it would have been about 8 pages long.)

Holy poop people, in 11 days the VMCAS is due, and for many the supp. Apps are due too!! Eeeeekkk!!! :barf: I am still in the editing phase of my PS... My motivation essay has been brain stormed.. Uniqueness essay is half way done... Community service essay is complete and submitted..

Aah I know! I am in the same boat as you...everything is written but still in the re-draft process! 😎 Need to get it done lol!
 
Finished my Oklahoma, LSU and Mississippi apps, but I've put off Tuskegee and and Missouri 🙁

ugh. thank goodness my supp app to UT has been submitted. But Missouri's is the one im struggling with... bleh darn 1600 character essays!
 
Yuck! So glad I clipped Mizzou from my schools list. I just shaved another school off too because my PPI's weren't done on time (UC Davis), which really was just helping me from wasting extra money. Down to 9 schools! I only have the essays for Illinois and Tufts left! Woo hooo! and my explanation statement. Time to do work this weekend!!

It's scary to think it's been a year since I applied, and by the time y'all know where you're going I'll be finished with my first year of vet school 😱
 
My last LOR writer set a personal deadline of today. I emailed him last night to remind him of that and haven't heard back yet which is unlike him. He still hasn't even started the LOR. I may be panicking a little right now.

This is absolutely crazy to think about, time is going by so incredibly fast.... During application season, it seemed like time just drug on but now I kind of wish it would slow down a little... :laugh:

Just an FYI, even after you have submitted VMCAS, you can still re-email the LOR request to your evaluators. That function does not go away.

I called Wisconsin today to check on receipt of materials, and was told that they don't even check until after Oct 2nd. They said they would let me know by mid-Oct if anything is missing. Has anyone else been told that by Wisconsin?

I called one of my other schools, and they are missing 5 of my transcripts, even though I ordered all 8 on the same day. Now I am starting to panic! :scared:
 
And 2 of my 4 evaluations have not been completed yet, and they are the 2 most important ones. Sent them both an email last night. :scared::scared::scared::scared:!

So I freaked out about this myself last year when I had several schools tell me the same thing. But they assured me that it would not be held against me if they didn't get something. They said they find everything that everyone is missing and let them know because schools have been known to screw them up from time to time 🙄. Don't worry about it. 🙂

Thank, Em. They pound that October deadline into our heads so much that it sends up a HUGE red flag when a school says they'll let you know a couple of weeks later. 😳

All of my supplements have been received. Now I have one more eLOR who needs to get his butt in gear. Hopefully I'll see him Monday and get a chance to grovel/nag. Then I'll feel good submitting.

Yep, me three.

It does feel a little weird after hitting that Submit button on all of your supplementals and VMCAS. I got up this morning and realized that, apart from doing some studying for my Nutrition class, I really have nothing pressing to do. No deadlines. No nausea-inducing stress (except about my 2 missing LORs...:scared:).

Feels strange. Like...maybe..I'm forgetting something?
 
My last LOR was just submitted! :soexcited: Now to submit and let the waiting game begin. I'm still feeling like I won't get in but hey at least I'll have a complete application.
 
I printed my application, but I'm afraid to read it because I know I'll find mistakes on it despite reading through it 16 times before I submitted.

Get it submitted and then forget about it for a little bit (I know that is easier said then done). After you submit it, go out and celebrate or do something for yourself as a little reward. Best of luck!

Don't read it. It will just make you even more nervous if you do find a mistake now that you can not correct it. It is best to just let it go for a while until you start hearing about interviews. Good luck!!

I'm sure it's fine. Just file it away. Nothing you can do about it now anyway.

I know what you mean! After submitting my application, I made a conscious decision to put it away and not look at it again. I figured that there was nothing I could do at that point, and second-guessing myself (or finding mistakes I had missed) would just make me miserable.


You guys are almost done!!!
 
Aaaah, I still haven't submitted yet...I need to look over everything again...and still waiting for my last letter, though I'm not too worried about that.

I tried doing my U Penn supplemental but it says the website is down:scared: Anyone else applying there having this problem? I hope it's fixed soon!

They do have one. On the website it says "To begin the Supplemental Information Form please click here", but when I click it says an error occurred.

Oh ok. Don't worry about it too much. It literally takes 4 seconds to fill out and mail in.

I understand, just saying its not a big long supplemental so it literally takes 4 seconds. I'm sure they will have it fixed on plenty of time for you to get it in. 👍
 
Finished my last supplemental essay (until I get Wisconsin's) HORRAY! Now I just need to submit them all and spend more money. Double horray!

I decided to take the advice of others on this forum and NOT go back and read it now that it is submitted. Just going to plow ahead with my classes this semester and try to forget about the application until....like Christmas 🙄.
