Hello!

I haven't seen a similar thread like this posted for this cycle so I thought I would create one! Here we can share our notifications and progress with other applicants! As for me, I applied to CSUN, CSULB, CSUS, CSUF, Western, and Chapman. I will be applying to APU next year! As of now, I have only heard back from Western and have received an interview invitation! .

I applied to CSUF, CSUN, and CSULB. Got and email from Fresno this week about my application being complete and to expect further emails about interview details. We probably won't hear back until January 🙁

Yea, California schools take longer to give out notices. I applied to CSUN, CSULB, and Chapman. Nothing yet except Long Beach saying that the they have forwarded my application to the PT department for a final review.

I applied to Mount St. Mary's. They sent me email couple weeks ago said that they will notify me when it has reached a decision =/.

I also got the confirmation of my application being complete! I hope they send out their interview invites in December!

Same for me, Long Beach has just confirmed that my application has been forwarded to the PT department! We will hear news from CSUN soon!

I applied to CSUS and University of the Pacific. Still no word from either. Hope to hear something positive from both prior to Christmas break!

Has anyone heard back from University of the Pacific yet? I know in the past that they usually send out half of their interview invites before 1 Jan. Can anybody else on the boards confirm this?

Thanks in advance! Happy Holidays! And may everyone get into the school they want!

I received an email today saying that I was invited to interview at UOP. My date is set for 2/20. From talking with them over the phone, I was also told that 2/27 is the other interview date.

California schools I applied to: CSUN; CSUS; UCSF/SFSU; CSUF; CSULB; UOP

Rejected: CSUF (didn't meet their undergraduate upper division GPA requirements)

Other: Low alternate for CSUN (12/10); UCSF/SFSU emailed to inquire about a prereq (12/12); CSULB confirmed my application has been forwarded to the PT department (12/9)

Haven't heard from CSUS or UOP at all.

Did CSUN email you to tell you that you were an alternate? They also told you your place on the alt list? I'm wondering if they've sent out all the notifications yet. I haven't received anything.

I also got "low alternate." They didn't tell us our place on the alternate list and stated to not call or email to find out. They explained that "low alternate" is lower than their top 150 applicants and that it is highly unlikely they will get to the "low alternate" list. I received my email on Wednesday, but from what I remember, they said the latest you will find out from them is December 18th. Hope that helps 🙂

I hope CSUN is waiting for Fall Grades as I have not heard back from them yet but still have 3 classes in progress this semester

Oh I see. Thanks. I'll keep checking then!

Just got an email from Chapman! Says they'll begin offering seats rolling Dec thru Jan.

Hate to break the news, but I got an email from CSUN right after I emailed admissions to tell them that I submitted my fall grade to ptcas, on December 12th. Was placed on low alternate.

So... It seems they are sending out notices at odd intervals. There's been only one person in this thread with an acceptance letter.

I haven't received anything from CSUN yet but I do know of a classmate that was accepted probably 2-1/2 - 3 weeks ago. I believe she was given until this week or so to say if she plans on attending. Maybe they're waiting to hear back from that first group before offering anything else.

I received my CSUN acceptance last Wednesday and they give you until Dec. 25 to submit your "Accept or Decline" form, which isn't much time at all. If no form is submitted or if one declines by the deadline, then the position is offered to the alternates.

It's just a form to indicate to them whether or not you plan to be attending, correct? No deposit?

Correct. The only money you'll spend is on the CSU Mentor application I think.

Okay, CSUN said they'd notify me by December 17. I'll just wait and see I guess.

Any news from CSUN yet? I haven't received anything so far!

I just received an email that says I am waitlisted. From the email that was sent it seems like they have already notified all that have been accepted and those that are waiting to hear are probably on the wait list. You never know, though. Good luck to all!

Received email from CSUN. I am waitlisted.

I also received my email from CSUN, I am wait listed as well. What place are you guys in the list? I am #108.

Dear BrojanBoy,

Thank you for applying for Fall 2015 admission into the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at California State University, Northridge. Your application received careful consideration by the Admission’s Committee and meets all of our necessary requirements. As of January 7th 2015, you are # 11 on our Wait List. The top 32 students have been offered a position in our program, we will then go down our Wait List as needed to fill all 32 spots in our program.

------

Did anyone else's email say "As of January 7th, 2015???

Just got same email…waitlsted #141. I think they wait list top 150. and then "low alternate" list. congrats to those accepted or high on the list!

Waitlisted at #140. Congrats to the 32 who were accepted!

Does anybody have an estimate as to how many people get off the waitlist at CSUN ?

I'm number 8. Has anyone asked how far down the waiting list they usually go?

Does anyone know how far down the wait list last years class went? I'm disappointed to receive a wait list number, especially #141, but feel like that's all I am to this school is a number. They don't conduct interviews and they don't require the PTCAS essay. Don't get me wrong, I would love to go to PT school there, or anywhere. But, CSUN makes me feel dehumanized! Regardless, I'm staying positive and holding on to hope.

Yo just outta curiousity, what were your stats, #8 and #11? I'm also waitlisted in the similar range and I'm just wondering.

3.80 cGPA and prereq GPA, about 300 obs hrs, in and out patient ortho, lots of volunteer/service hours in different programs (~400)

Did anyone hear from Samuel Merritt today? According to their timeline we were supposed to hear by 6pm whether we got an interview or not... but I haven't received anything yet.

I haven't heard back either : /
I was checking almost every minute leading up to 6pm lol

Just got my rejection email from Sacramento. According to the email, only the top 80 get interview invites.

I received an interview for UCSF and Samuel Merritt today

Just checked the spam folder and apparently my invitations to UCSF and Sam Merritt for interviews got lost in there!

Does anyone know anything about Mount Saint Mary's program? I received an acceptance letter on Monday but neither the packet nor the website seem to have much information about them.
