Is anyone else having trouble getting CCOM to update your MCAT score from AACOMAS? I submitted my primary application in July before my score was out. My score posted with AACOMAS back in August, but now my application with CCOM is sitting incomplete because they're missing the MCAT. I've emailed them twice in the last week and no response. Will call tomorrow I guess.

Yeah, calling would be your best bet. They have been helpful over the phone.

i called up admissions and he said that the admissions committee met yesterday
and that we should find out by mid week, and we'll either get an email, or we can call them, whichever one we're most comfortable with!!!
i cant beleive the wait is almost over!!!!!

No magic bullet here. Living with a roommate or multiple roommates will cut down on living expenses, substantially. Also, armed forces will pay for docs and some national/state agencies can pay to educate primary care docs.

CCOM also does federal work study.

Yeah that sucks. But I think there's a slight tuition decrease and lots of IL people apply/go there. But I don't get the feeling that they have so many spots reserved for IS students.

Doesn't U of I give IS preference? Seems like somebody said that... (dunno if you're applying there, though, or MD in general)

Yes i had the same problem, but no schools got my updated score which I released in July as well. I emailed Midwestern and they were really nice about it. They attached a copy of my email to my file. I also called a few days later and admissions advised me to email my exact change in score so as not to delay the review of my application (I interviewed on Sept 15, so I wanted to make sure they saw my better score before deciding my fate). If anything I would call them and if they haven't attached anything to your file yet, request that the person your speaking to makes note of it or directs you to someone who can help you. They're really friendly. Good luck!

I think U of I is suppose to give IS preference. I applied there last year (applied MD and DO). I interviewed for their rural medicine program and didn't get in (only like 20 something people interviewed too). The school could have decided to interview me for their regular program but didn't. I actually graduated from U of I in Champaign too. But anyway... since then I've decided I really want to go the DO route anyway so maybe it was meant to be.

Same here, I guess you shoud call. When I did they told me I had been reviewed in early august, but that was it. So I'm not really much help!

i asked whether she'd sign them, and the letters would be sent out today, the admissions lady said i dont know, but soon.

Thanks for the info StinkyMasala. I'm wondering though, are we really going to have to wait for snail mail decisions? Our status on their online application site should change and notify us of a decision at the same time they send out those letters, no?

I was complete on 9/25 and just recieved an invitation to interview today. I was suprised it was so quick. I'll be going 10/31, anyone else on that date? My stats are 3.87 overall, 3.79 science, MCAT 28P. I hope you hear from them soon, CCOM is a solid school.

I called today and they said they cant tell us anything about our status till dean signs and that the best thing to do is wait for status by mail 🙁 i guess im just gonna wait till it comes in the mail.

Ya I called too, and the lady told me to try again Friday 🙁 I still have to make travel plans for three interviews next week, but CCOM is my first choice so it'd be nice if I found out before having to book flights.

I haven't heard anything yet and I have been complete for a while and I just found out Im on hold at AZCOM 🙁

i submitted my secondary around 9/15 but for some reason there has been a huge delay in interfolio sending them my LORs
im pretty upset to hear that people who had completed their files by 9/25 have got interview invites because it probably means when my file is completed in the next week or so (hopefully) i'll have to wait a couple weeks for them to send out interview invites again

I haven't heard anything yet and I have been complete for a while and I just found out Im on hold at AZCOM 🙁

I know they interview till about April, because during our interview they told us that if we were wait listed they won't pull from the list until after the interviews were complete in April.
