Do mafia and wolf not occupy similar roles? I just assumed they were kinda the same thing.

Similar but not the same.

There can be a mafia pack and a wolf pack, they would be separate. Some roles specifically interact with mafia, some specifically with wolves. For instance, a seer would get not wolf/wolf results. A cop would get not mafia/mafia results. So a cop would get a negative result on a wolf, and a seer would get a negative result on mafia, despite them being scum.

I am asserting these things to be true even though it's been a while since I've read through the whole role list and I'm not fact checking myself at this moment.

This is correct, speaking from my experience of being a cop in a CYO with no mafia and checking scum 2/3 nights but getting a negative result each night.

Thanks, I don't think it's a great use of my time at this point to keep looking for it though.

I think my takeaway from that whole conversation is that it helps inform my read on PSV, but I'm not sure it helps me get to a read on samac yet.

I'm not sure what you're asking

Like is there precedent for having Mafia blah blah and mason as options? Yes, you just wouldn't be able to actually make the illegal combo. So you would have one fewer option to choose from.

Going to mildly rein in silly goosery this morning (sad face) and may revisit pending day posts after my final in a few hours.

rae - NV. I have a hard time with rae and historically read her incorrectly. Given that I'm leaning village until otherwise
Clem - N. Clem is clem is clem. IDK. Doesn't seem very wolfy but who knows.
SAR - NV. Feels like village SAR more than wolf SAR, granted I've only seen either once.
CG - N. CG always neutral. I very much believe she would pick non-town given the option, but it's not like she doesn't know that too. Could def see 3p.
genny - N. Nothing broadly villagey or scummy yet.
kitz - NW. Giving a little scummy with the tones of posting and some wording here and there.
Dubz - NW. Not giving anything very villagey and play feels similar to the last game.
samac - N. I can always go either way on samac
beans - V. Villagey beans is villagey.
alissa - NV. Mostly seems sus of fruits and me, which is normal for players new to us. Could be going for low fruit but I think is being genuine.
apop - V. Obvs.
Zenge - W. For above reasons of general tone and a couple things sticking here and there, and just hasn't given town zenge very strongly.
Barks - N. IDK that I read barks well or at all last game, so sitting neutral for now.
PSV - NV. I'm historically not great at reading PSV but I think I got better during Hallowws, and this is giving more villagey PSV.
Spurs - N. IDK, I always think spurs is sus and I'm usually wrong, so I'm going to err on N for now
shorty - NV. Powerwolfing? Doubt. Maybe. Never seen wolf or village shorty, but could totally see 3p. But going to stick village for now.
fruit - NW. Fruits normally sees through my chaotic play style to the village in me, and the one time he didn't he was wolf, so my gut says wolf here, but otherwise his playstyle seems like normal fruit, so not jumping on this one yet.

@apoptosis09 please explain your zenge read to me. What made you intially place a vote there? You also seem somewhat contradictory to me. You vote zenge, then follow up with acknowledging that by doing so you have formed a wagon (though I disagree). You also say that its not a wagon if you're right, so at that time, you're assured in your read of zenge. Then, you unyeet zenge without providing a reasoning that you're reading him as town and instead do so because you didn't want a wagon to form, even though you had already previously acknowledged that by voting zenge in the first place you were starting a wago. In your unyeet post, you are still saying he gives you wolfy vibes. Then in your long reads post, Zenge is the only player that you mark as W, and not NW or something else.

All this to say, it is reading to me as a light bus attempt on a scum partner. In addition, as a wolf I have made a full reads list of everything. While I appreciate your attempt to communicate your thoughts on everyone, I agree with shorty that it overall only gave reads of 2 people.

In the context of everything else, I also didn't love the post where you jokingly said you would jump to fruit simply because I gave a negative read. Its giving "how can i slyly jump off of my scum partner's vote"

I could be wrong about all of the above but this is the most I've gotten so far.

I'm almost sure I've been a D1 yeet target and its no fun. I can empathize that you were the D1 target last game. However, I was not part of this game and I have not played with you.
