I may want to say the same thing, but instead, I'm gonna say that I'd be a little surprised if this is wolf!PSV and I'm gonna town lean her for now.

Here's your discard:

If you had town mason as an option, that means one of the possible combinations for you would be mafia mason. Which you would've had to think about and consider when evaluating your options.
So in order for you to not know mafia mason was possible, you would've had to not think of it as an option.
Which means, town mason was almost definitely not presented to you.

I think you’re angle shooting here.
It was literally presented as mason. I assumed mason was an only town ability because of that.
There was no town defined to it until flushy explained each role.

The list of not allowed was mafia mason and I assumed that was scum mason. But it’s just that combo. Cyo confuses me

The inverse of this is that:
Monks by definition are "Not Werewolves".

That would be a wild thing to make up instead of just claiming vanillager

I think my unease is more that 2 people who I would not consider historically shining beacons of towniness seem to be (very early and admittedly with most of the game not commenting specifically on this) consensus town, but I also am reading them both that way.

I'm just trying to decide what that means to me when it comes to other people coming to those reads.

Considering we had a whole conservation about what Kitz's actual affiliation/ability was, yes. I don't put limits to confusion about game rules/mechanics because I 100% would be as well if this was my first game.

And you didn't go for a mason role that the things you'd enjoy more than mason have high scum equity. So either that you actually rolled a different mason and took the aff from that or you picked a village role that has more than one chance at being rolled so you're less likely to be caught in a potential lie

And then flushy gave an explanation it was town. I didn’t even know a werewolf mason existed, I took it as that’s an only town role, I considered mason, asked what would happen if no one else chose it and told id be alone and chose my other option that gives me a PR.

I don't think it's very likely that she would have been confused about "Village Fruit Vendor" being her role even if she was confused about whether it was also her affiliation. There's not much space to be confused about what your ability actually is if you've read your role PM at all.

A werewolf mason? We were talking about mafia mason. Those are naturally separate things.
I'm not arguing the same thing SAR is, in that you would avoid picking mason if it were an option. I'm confused how, in a game where we can choose our own, you wouldn't think you could combine the mason ability with a different affiliation (such as mafia).
And if mafia mason is a banned combo, then how would it be an option?

Interesting, that's not how it's on the roles list so that surprises me.

I also had it as an option in CYO II, I just have to remember what my rolls PM was titled to be able to find it.

The role that you use for affiliation does not appear in your final role PM outside of it being your affiliation. Which, you should know? Idk if I'm being clear here.

I was town-leaning her earlier, but then I wasn't super keen on the reads list being what it was. She was the D1 yeet in the last game that ran and I'm ngl, I tabled processing my read on her today because of that.

they are not, they are different scum factions, and the list shows all the factions possible

They are functionally similar in that they are scum factions with killing power, but they are distinctly different factions and may or may not be present in this game.
