I actually couldn't see it ending any other way.
I found the "genetics" and "science" in that book much more problematic than the ending... (But I still didn't like the ending for a number of reasons)

Agreed - it honestly just didn't seem to fit. Felt very out of left field unnecessary... well no spoilers but it maybe ruined the series for me.Enjoy the first two books. The ending of the last made me mad.
I felt like that about Hunger Games too. Loved the first book and read it in one night. The second book started off well, but I feel like she started to drop off halfway through that one. The 3rd book was almost a struggle to read, I just wanted to know the ending.I haven't read the Divergent series yet, but Hunger Games did the same thing to me. Loved the first two books, but it felt like she gave up half way through Mockingjay. She set a ton of great stuff up, and then just kind of quit on it.
First week back was a real PITA. Motivation has flown. Hopefully you don't have a crazy test filled week like we did post break. It did not go well for most of us. This week isn't looking much better. I am just ready to be done with first year already. My crankiness level keeps exceeding where I thought my limit was.Do not want to start class back up again tomorrow. Spring break didn't feel nearly long enough.
My motivation to study today is secretly lacking. We have two exams this week and our equine clinical skills practical. BlahFirst week back was a real PITA. Motivation has flown. Judging by the way this "spring" is looking, we'll be in make-up lectures/labs until June.![]()
If it makes you feel better, we have four hours of dermatology lecture tomorrow...
Sooo... much... derm....

I thought I hated last semester until this semester. Last semester was a breeze! Just a few more weeks!I cannot wait to get out of this semester. I've made the mistake of going over to the teaching hospital and enjoying myself more as opposed to sticking to the cramming for endless exams and stuffed classrooms full of people who never stop sneezing, coughing, whispering loudly, thus killing my tolerance levels for the early years of vet school. I am doing my best to maintain my good grades so I have the chance at any opportunity that I may eventually decide on, but man, it is taking a few more trips to Brown's Bottle Shop to get through this.
Our open house is tomorrow too! I'm bringing my rats to the children's room in the morning, and doing a theriogenology educational display in the afternoon!Open House all day tomorrow! I will be teaching ~2100 kids to do a physical exam, using stuffed animals at the booth I'm running. Not a huge fan of kids, so this should be super interesting.

I don't like kids much either but I did teddy bear surgery day last summer with our surgery club and that was a blast. All the little kids were so excited for us to dress them up so they could assist us and run 'anesthesia' while we sewed their ripped stuffed animals back up.
Anyone have any good resources or tips and tricks for reading an ECG? I haven't felt this lost since I got to vet school 🙁
That first link is AMAZING! Thank you so much.I just googled; these sites look helpful. Good luck, it's tough at first but you can do it!

Ours is at 7am tomorrow and I can feel my motivation flying out the window... Just 2.5 more lectures to get through. Only about 70ish slides... manageable, right? -gulp-I have officially lost all motivation to study. Immunology test is on Thursday--maybe I can find some cares before then.

Totally doable. You got this! If you could send some motivation my way after your test that'd be fantastic. I think tonight I'm going to marathon ugly betty and play that 2048 game that someone posted here awhile ago.
I have a neuro exam on Thursday that I haven't even started studying for. Crappy poop.

1) That show is amazing.
2) That game was invented by the devil. But I still love it.
The swearing one is my favorite so far.So I shouldn't mention that there is a Pokemon version? Or a Corgi one? Or a swearing one?
